★ PSA: Void Elf Paladins are justified in the Lore ★

This is a comfortable hill to die on.

Give us Void Elf Paladins!

Have Arator (Alleria’s Paladin son) turn into a Void Elf Void Knight after seeing the tyranny of the Light, with agents of the Light trying to kill his mother.

Him introducing the class skin of Void Knights would be sick.

None of these are valid arguments for VE Paladins.

Forsaken have a better set up current lore wise for paladins then VE do.

But it still boils down to the same argument: both races would explode if INFUSED with the Light.

Priests don’t work like paladin.

Been thinking of this since you mentioned it in my thread.

I don’t dislike the idea. Adding a skin like that would give story/lore and open it up well I think.

Not sure I personally want to see Arator go that route but what can ya do?

I’m also still hesitant because adding this as “customization” like with Wildhammer or even High Elves themselves has been… Less than stellar.

Yes please and 100% thank you very much, good sir.

Ohh it wouldn’t work like a typical “customization” - it’d work like Simaia’s concept of class skins, I bet you’ve seen them already:

Basically, Void Knights would be the Paladin class, but with Void visuals and spell descriptions.

I love this idea cause we would have so many different “classes within classes” available instead of… none. We haven’t had a new class since MoP. And I doubt devs want to keep adding classes every now and then considering how they said it’s difficult for them to balance them all :sob:

Um, Demon Hunter would like a word with you…

Doesn’t matter. It says Holy Priest.

You don’t get to decide to ignore the art director saying: “This is another place where there was a race, High Elves, in the game which hadn’t really been represented on player characters. Blood Elves were the closest, but had felt green eyes. It was an opportunity where we had a number of elven races, and we could tie it back to their roots, letting players choose where they want to align and what fantasy to play out. We did have a lot of discussion about it, ultimately we might do more in the future, but for now we’re providing the option to have a few High Elf customizations available.”

Because your in game tag says Void Elf, but then pretend like you can’t be a Void Elf Holy Priest in game.

Void Elves can be Holy Priests and therefore Paladins. Or, you can play a High Elf on Void Elves. One or the other. Pick a consistent rule.

Blood Knights weren’t infused with the Light. They were literally stealing it from a Naaru. So fun fan theory, but wrong.

We don’t want anybody to cry over this.

We have already see many Horde tears regarding this topic.

HOWEVER, I don’t recall Blizzard ever mentioning paladins being “infused with light” lol you mean like angels?

The reason void elves should have paladins is their qualifying charisma. They have the necessary charisma for the job. If your race doesn’t have paladins, their typcial charisma scores might be too low for it. Sorry.

Tauren have charisma? I think they’re charming I guess. Maybe Tauren bards are a thing.

This is actually often said but I’m not sure where people are getting it from. It’s been an often repeated phrase around here. But, it ignores Blood Elf Paladins entirely. The Warcraft III Paladins were said to be immune to disease.

Tauren steak is a thing.

Female tauren can dance.

Also what about the Zandalari Paladins? They worship a T-rex.

Infused with T-Rex.

Zandalari trolls have charisma! They have pyramids and are very welcoming to new arrivals. They have docks and all sorts of culture.

Darkspear trolls are like murlocs.

Mostly from the Arthas book as well as the one that has to do with Tirion.

I don’t think it’s true myself as those books to me only refer to the Silver Hand and it’s practices and are mostly subjective views from the characters rather than hard and fast lore specific bits saying they’re infused.

It’s certainly not sweeping. Blood Elves aren’t infused with the light. They’re just borrowing it from a Naaru. While torturing the Naaru and thinking they’re stealing it.

Seems apocryphal.

Also the Twilight Vindicators are a thing as well.

Kind of only leaves Alleria’s comments about interacting with Turalyon. But she’s got a Dark Naaru in her.

I think I currently have a low level priest or mage. I’d prob play a paladin more.

Ahh. Shadows Rising Alleria and Turalyon:

Entropic Embrace may not feel so hot… But that’s not really a deal breaker.

Turalyon is also supposedly Lightforged.

Unlike most paladins.

Yeah. Which would mean MOAR light. Likely why his existence bothers her. He really is infused with the light.

With the information available it looks like it’s actually harder to be an undead holy priest than a void elf paladin.
