You’re right. But that didn’t stop them from asking for Blood Elf homelands, cities, and models.
Blood Elves belong to Blizzard. They didn’t take anything from anyone. They created a narrative and wrote a story.
It could have, but here we are, still making peoples’ nerves raw.
I’ve heard that. I was wayyyy too young to see that for myself (was 11 when Blood Elves came out), but I’ve definitely heard that. I’m sure it’s true.
Stated above
I like the Nightborne. Just not as much as Night Elves, but that is okay.
Ughhhh I’d die for this, but I also understand that we still have our own city too.
People may flip out if Blood Elf stuff was added to Org. Goblin stuff is, at least, very rustic and steampunk and mechanical, which sort of matches new Horde aesthetic.
We’re trying to save WoW. We need people to want to play it. Gating off fun, blocking fun, this is what drives people away to Trashy Fantasy and Sweaty New World.
Void elf paladins will bring good players to the Alliance and help balance the factions. Plus it would be so fun!
I heard blood elves didn’t have warriors in the beginning. That must have felt really bad.
But then guess what must have happened?
Good old Blizzard decided to listen to the players and add the warrior class to blood elves. What explanation was given for that? I am sure it was probably zero.
The same could be done for VOID ELF PALADINS. Let them use the same warhorse and charger as humans. Enable the class for void elves. Done. No explanation needed.
It was Cataclysm and they were adding new classes to everything. Humans got hunters, dwarves got shamans and mages, trolls got druids. There was minimal demand for BElf warriors and most of that was just “Hey they’re the one without it, suppose they should get it eventually”
Or they could enable it for Night Elves who actually have an explanation?
They had one. Several, in fact. Just folks haven’t kept it alive because, well, honestly, most of the people from that probably have quit. Dunno if it was during BFA or now, but probably quit sometime during one of those.
I mean, thanks for pointing out how poor Void Elf lore is to begin with if that’s what you get out of it and all you’d think it’d take? imagine like, actually having strong ideas to a race outside of “Touched the mystery box and got tentacles”
Frankly, y’know, I liked VElves and Nightbourne having flavour in having different classes from their base races but if you want to strip the very thin bits of “Actually different” of them and give into everyone who just said they’re just a pale immitation of BElves… That’s, certainly a statement, I guess? Don’t think its speaking highly of VElf flavour though, that’s for sure.
(I mean, at least my HElf ideas gave them druid and stripped away warlock)
Of course… we’re clearly the superior race. Once we receive our Void customizations no one will resist. All players will race change and this will be World of Voidcraft
This ain’t an alt friendly expansion and as much as I love this character, I really cannot be bothered levelling him
The only new class addition as a one-off we’ve had was gnomes getting hunters in Legion and that was after… How long between Cata and Legion? After that long.
I sincerely doubt it. Making a lot of noise didn’t give BElves druids, despite that being a louder thread.
