Not what they use, it’s how they use it. And while im all for customisation, and it needs to balance with the lore. Even retcons need to be consistent with the lore and story. Breaking the lore just to make a few players happy is a sign of desperation.

You don’t have to make sense of shadow priests. LFD does not have any per lore. This stuff had been discussed several times by devs in lore. Priests is the exception to the rule due to gampelay

Void Elves just want more and more power because they have PTSD from their family getting dabbed on and in the process they’ve ostracized themselves from society.
The only thing Void Elves are missing are the spikey Vergil hair that Blood Elves have. Ironically, Void Elves have the Dante hair from DMC3 lol

(I’m generally all for all classes for all races, gameplay trumps lore for me. let people play what they want, but in this case there is a lore precedent)
There are no polar opposites in the WoW cosmic scale, everything both opposes and mixes. Death and Shadow clash just as much as Shadow and Light, and there’s VElf DK’s sooooo… BRING ON THE PALLY!

Truth be told, I didn’t like void elves either. The only reason I just dealt with it until now is because it’s the closest high elf thing we got.
Still to this day, I do want high elf as allied race and get paladin class. If we get void elf paladins, I think that pretty much closes the chapter.
