No reason it should take 5 seconds and also having to land somewhere to just change flight mode to hover on your mount in static flying.

they should make it so you can set a specific mode for individual mounts

If you want to hover use Steady flight as your default if you want Hover, or put yourself way up in the sky and set a near level flight path, then find a way to “hold down” left or right.
I think everyone should just be able to hover at this point. it’d make for some real cool videos.
Not sure why I have a vision of a couple hundred players all dressed in white, holding candles, all hovering around the main area of the current major expansion city.
Also, “Just like a prayer” is playing.
I think this alone is reason enough to give everyone hover. And druid should get Enhanced Hover. Enhanced Hover would allow druids to hover in skyriding and move at the same speed as whatever the other flying speed is.
Its a dumb change to go from being able to have access to both styles of flying at once, to only having one at a time and having to waste time for no good reason to change flight mode.

yep, this system is aweful, needs to be like before i.e. assign dragon riding to specific mounts
before we had two flying styles available all the time, which is vastly superior to gimping us and making one style unusable unless you want to stop what your doing and figure out how to change it then try and remember what it was you wanted to do before.
on top of breaking druid flight form.
