this is what worked for me: It wasnt working, so i went back to valdraken turned on war mode came back, it didnt work. then i went back to valdraken. turned off war mode. turned it back on. then off. then on then off again. then i went back and i was able to pick it up.

I turned on war mode set a timer for 5 minutes turned it off and went back and got it.
Same issue. Tried warmode on and off… wait 5 min. Face north while restarting with warmode on and then after 5 min turn it off while facing south. Still bugged …sigh
I tried different methods to no avail, still bugged with two characters.

KIndly fix this please this is should been addressed ASAP with hotfix ASAP

Having the same issue as well and did the suggested stuff in this thread. Please fix asap Blizzard.
Same issue, tried changing in and out of warmode but no success. Can’t interact with the resting blade.
Had no issues with ebon eviscerator.
This is broken for me as of right now still. Tried all the things many times.
So Blizzard released an official word on this bug in the in-game Customer Support section. No fix at this time.

It just worked for me, I went to Val warmode on. Waited 5 mins then turned it off left then came back and it worked.
I also did have the old flying mode turned on not sure if that helped the phasing

They really need to fix this. You cannot continue the quest chain. The Warmode toggle that has been suggested is not working. Ten minutes on and toggle off, toggle on make out with Ebyssian and toggle off; nothing is working.
Hey so just now i was able to get it! I had it scan and repair, went back in and i was able to get it

Tried this but didn’t work for me 
So I went to Valdrakken, switched to Skyriding style, flew to the sword and I was able to grab it.
Still broken. Cant finish campaign for DF til its fixed.
was war mode on or off?
I’ve confirmed on 3 alts now, if you just log out for 20-30 mins and then come back, you’ll be able to loot the sword. Don’t understand why, but I’ve done this on 3 characters now.
