The European forums are automatically locked after a month or so of inactivity, the same should happen here.
If Necro’ed topics were really a problem then Blizzard would set everything to close 60-90 days after the last post.

Why would anyone even care if an old thread got replied to? There are hundreds of topics to choose from on the main general forum page, and that ONE old thread that got a reply bothers anyone? Why? Just click on something else.

Read dates. The reason it can be an issue is outdated information or outdated bugs or people who don’t even play anymore getting “answers” to questions or people just trolling and insulting the OP who hasn’t posted in years.
