I’ve been 25 for over a week, here are my suggestions:
• Power Word: Barrier is way too bright. It’s so disorienting that it can wipe a raid. In PVP my teammates run out of it because it looks ridiculous and you can hardly see the enemies.
• We either need group Fortitude, or to lower the mana cost of single target Fortitude. It takes 4 full mana bars to buff a whole raid, and people are waiting on priests every time. Especially annoying while learning boss fights and attempt wipes.
MOTW = 100 Mana
AI = 185 Mana
Fort = 400 Mana (!!!)
• Level 25 water is painfully slow for the mana pools we have with this new gear. This does not help my last bullet point.
• Clones need to be more controllable, or at least not idiots. It would also be nice if they provided debuffs that helped increase the priest’s damage, and not everyone else’s. A cool idea, but currently they are broken.
• WTB holy spell damage items. Or more spell damage items in general, so holy priest dps is a little more viable. All data shows priest dps being dead last @ 25, no matter what spec.

2.) No. If they don’t wanna wait they can die or not get fort. The cost is high because we literally train a new rank at 24.
3.) It’s still Classic. People need to deal.
4.) Yeah, Homunculi needs a pet bar.
5.) Heal. Make some friends or roll an alt to farm stuff, cap is literally 25.

1—Nothing to do with age. It’s a valid concern; the bubble isn’t transparent enough and it effects gameplay negatively.
2—Lvl 60 MotW is just over 400 mana. How can you justify this discrepancy?
5—The whole point of SoD was to make previously unviable specs viable. That’s directly from the dev team.

I’m so sorry that it was modeled for you that it is okay to talk to people this way. I think bringing up level 60 facts for a level 25 discussion is the closest thing to “contrarian” in this thread.
I don’t think Blizzard ever stated a “point” to SoD, leaving it up to interpretation. My interpretation would be that it was meant to freshen up the game. Either way, disagreeing with somebody is no reason to talk down to them.
The only thing priest needs is for penance to be nerfed. There’ll be 5 people dumpstering on one player and they’re still being healed up to full hp.

It’s on a 12 sec cd. Also no way to really do this without making Priests completely ineffective single target in the BFD raid.

I wasn’t rude at all, but he sure was. It’s like you’re confusing me with the other person, that’s the only explanation for your mischaracterization.
My level 60 comment was comparing Druid buff mana cost at 60 being the same as Priest buff mana cost at 25. If you think that isn’t a valid point then you are clearly a troll.

The only thing priest needs is for penance to be nerfed. There’ll be 5 people dumpstering on one player and they’re still being healed up to full hp.
This is quite the exaggeration. Penance is on a medium-long cooldown, heals only the same amount as “Heal”, and can be interrupted easily over 3 seconds. Imagine if we didn’t have penance, priests would be useless in phase 1. If you nerf penance you also have to nerf things like Polymorph.

12 seconds is a short cooldown, medium would be a minute. And while penance CAN be interrupted, the first two ticks will never be interrupted unless someone has an insane reaction time, the first tick alone can heal a priest to half health and cannot be interrupted at all.
Priests are currently the tankiest healers in the game because of this, I’m leveling a priest alt and I can solo red level mobs and elites easily because I can reset my entire health bar every 12 seconds.

I can’t tell you how many times penance only gets off 1 tick. It is easily thwarted in PvP.
No offense but at level 25 things are different, you do not heal full health with penance. It only heals 1/3 health on a tank or half on anyone else.
Every class can solo reds.
Lvl 12 is not lvl 25.

Saying it’s a Lay on Hands is disingenuous at best. And yes. Our only options at that point would be Heal which is crawling at a 3 sec cast time (unable to be talented at lvl 25) with an enormous mana cost and by the time it goes off your target is dead or Flash Heal which heals for a drop in a bucket at, again, enormous cost.
The world and content has been buffed which necessitates healing be buffed or dps and tanks will die. Thems the breaks.
They should delete homunculi and give us a real priest theme’s pet like a cherubim’s sword or seraphim harp.
Our first spell for DPS was smite, and have many holy DPS talents, and paladin has an aura to boost our holy damage but we don’t get the fine tuning we need.
Season of discovery, why not buff smite!

Yet at lvl 25, those were the spells priests used in classic, and they were still the best healers while leveling hands down.
Its almost as being able to heal a tank to full in a 2 second cast is massively imbalanced compared to any healers at this level.

Look I get you’re sore about priests for some reason but the implications of what you’re suggesting are a lot wider than you’re willing to consider.
I have a priest. Penance is stupid op, it does heal a full hp bar at 25 and cost 25% less mana than renew.
Also Pom heals for an absurd amount and again it costs no mana. Both those spells should costs at least twice the msns they currently do

It literally does not heal that much even if you had every +healing item available. And Renew is a 175hp HoT. There is zero reason to compare them.

My priest is level 25 with the BFD trinket and other decent gear. My penance heals for 184 a tick. 3 ticks will do 552. I could be crazy but I THINK people are running around with more than 500 hp in their healthbars.
So yeah. Stop lying.
