What is this game for?

Technical support and bug report are far too restricting. Where are normal topics like suggestions?

This is a cell phone game, a typical solo play experience is why I joined.

Some PVP was nice but quickly became obvious it was pay to win. Sadly. All players should easily be able to compete without buying the win, that’s how games like League of Legends end up with millions of players, instead of thousands. Level 10 cap was a nice balance, at least you stopped players from getting too high… Until 11 was attainable, showing us that you were making it less fair and more pay to win. Fine.

So I move on but notice I cannot get event rewards without a guild. This means my family guild of 4 players went to everyone quit but me and I had to leave the guild to get rewards as 4 people was not enough and I was the only regular player, keeping my kids engaged from time to time. So much for a single player game.

Next I simply suck it up and make a goal of playing when I have free time to grind. Except now the quest option is gone, so I have no more grind and not much reason to play for a short break from work. Once I do dailys I am forced to pvp… Not for everyone but I enjoy it enough.

Now I am pvping and I suddenly can’t target the enemy base, even with polymorph. Fine enough surprise no doubt but it seems reasonable UNTIL you realize the only spell in the game that CAN target an enemy base is the pay to win spell, deep breath, which is easy for paying players to get but very hard for non paying players. Foiled again.

At this point I would have bought about $50 in skins on LOL, being a fair balanced PVP game that lets me play for free, but when they expect payment to compete fairly, my money is staying in my pocket. I also refuse to make referrals for this reason.

A few hundred players who recommend a few hundred players who recommend a few hundred players will really add up to money in your pocket if you can just get away from the pay-to-win model and find a different way to bring income to the game.

I do not want to be forced into a guild, I do not want players to have an unfair advantage, I do not want to play with a teammate, and if I do need one at least give me a queue. I signed up for a solo experience but instead I got a bunch of other crap shoved down my throat.

So I ask you, what is this game even for?

I like this game. I think it has a good balance of solo play and team play.

Every time the Warsong Grunts hit the field and say, “zug zug”, I get a hit of nostalgia. If only Gromash said, “Stop poking me!!!” When he is defeated in the map.

Why do you think Deep Breath is a P2W spell?

To me, it’s the complete opposite. You cannot get Deep Breath by purchasing a pack with money. You get it by defeating Onyxia. It’s skill/effort based.

The only thing pay-gated that I’ve encountered thus far is the Halloween Skins for towers. No mechanical advantage, they just look cool.

I feel like this game isn’t P2W, it’s Pay 2 Fastrack. And pay to get vanity items. I’m OK with that. F2P folks can get access to everything, it will just take effort and/or time.

It sounds like you need to find the right guild for you. It exists. There are guilds for casual,f2 I like my guild. We support each other to help everyone get through Sieges, Raids, and other cooperative elements.

I find working with another player way more engaging than solo play. There are guilds that are for casual, family-focused, f2p players. Go to the Guild Recruitment channel in the Discord for this game and you’ll find your people.

If co-op play is not your thing, that’s cool. You will miss out on the Wildcard and boosted slots from Raids and Sieges. That may impact your PVP experience, but they’re not essential to play.

Hope you can rediscover the fun in this game soon. :upside_down_face:
