Does anyone else struggle with matchmaking in PvP?
Im a relatively new player, but have played lots of PvP matches. Latley ive been only losing in PvP because i keep being set up against opponents who are 2-4 levels higher than me. It has made my experience with the game rather frustrating. Im wondering if anyone else struggles with this?
There used to be level caps in PVP so that stronger players playing a low ranked leader could get matched against a newer player also low ranked and their higher ranked minis would get levelled down depending on the rank. This meant that newer players could still have relatively fair matches even when playing against players with higher level minis.
For reasons I don’t understand at all, Blizz removed these caps a little while ago. Now higher level players with low ranked leaders can curbstomp newer players at will, cause why not.
Its really frustrating, i have 9/10 games against players with level advantage.
For every leader i have, its the same, Once you cross 3000 honor PvP its not about your skills, but its about how much youve payed and than you can show your skills.
PvP level discrepancy is huge, Minion display level is level/3 rounded up. Got it.
My mini are showing levels 3 or 4, I go PvP, I’m up against level 11 and12.
What is up blizzard, you are complete out to LUNCH. No dime from me wont get one till you fix such discrepancies. L2P… Learn to program…
Totally Ridiculous, looked to be a good game, PvP seems to be only way to advance levels , If you can win, lol
Yes what about PVP no shows. People running bots all day just to get min amount for losing.

When I see level disparity in PVP like this, all I want to do is come home and relax play and numb my mind.
With HORRIBLE Coding & or Policies like this. My mini’s level 9-11 vs people 33-36. Is utterly disgusting, Frankly Upsetting and makes me angry,. Thoughts run through my mind of wishing to meet the people who make this horrendous decisions and meet them in a DARK alley.

I agree. It’s frankly very surprising that a company like Blizzard is ending up with such an immature PvP match making system. Super frustrating. Feels like running against a wall if in 8 out of 10 matches I get opponents with 2-3 higher levels.
All my matches recently have been against way higher players. I am currently level 8 in PVP and a majority of my matches are level 10 and 11 players, and the rest are 9’s. BUT I never see the inverse of this. I never have days where I only see level 5 or 6 players.
The best solution for this, is that in PVP everyone has the SAME level mini. Everybody is level 10 in PVP, that way we remove the level imbalance factor and PVP is strictly Strategy / Skill, Team Comp, and Talent choices. Just leave mini levels for the PvE aspect.
The pvp system is definitely something blizzard needs to work on. As it stands atm its completely unfair for players at low ratings and low level units to be matched against players who have 2+level advantage over them… please bring back the pvp level caps. And make it so once players get 6k rating on a mini then they can fight 10+ minis.
This needs to happen to increase player participation in pvp. Currently as it stands the system discourages new players and players with mid to low level minis from participating in pvp.
Is this game even worth spending time on?
How is it that you have “PvP” in a game where you face people double your lvl? I have lvl 5 on my units and the opponent has lvl 10, sometimes they have some golden buildings etc (not sure what this is). My point is, I have a pretty decend build and I feel like I plan ahead and time my units with the gold management quite alright. BUT when 1 unit can wipe out your entire spending how is that “pvp”? Imagine you go to battlegrounds in WoW and you face lvl 80s as a lvl 40s… I mean get a grip blizzard or just remove pvp all together and let us face bots the same lvl as ourselves.
I don’t play this game anymore because that. My minis level 5 and the opponent level 10. How can it be ? PvP ranked is about player skill and not who have more gold in the game
PVP matchmaking is the biggest problem this game has. In its current status it is garbage. Level caps should never be removed or at least make only one cap at level 10. I remember when I played World of Warcraft that battlegrounds had caps every 10 levels and max level had its own cap.
New players do not pvp with these conditions. That is why you see only level 10+. You deny them a great aspect of the game.
