Mouse cursor hot spot is a bit too far to the left

The mouse cursor’s hot spot is at its far left edge, at the very tip of the gauntlet’s pointed finger. This makes it very easy to accidentally grab the wrong mini from the tray during quick gameplay: Even when the bulk of the gauntlet is over the desired mini, the mini to the left of it is often grabbed accidentally, unless the player’s eyes are focused on the tip of the gauntlet’s finger instead of on the battlefield.

Examining the behavior closely, I see that when the gauntlet is clearly over the desired mini and its fingertip is just barely over the blank space between that mini and the one to its left, the mini to the left is often selected anyway. It doesn’t even have to touch the wrong one for the wrong one to be grabbed.

I find this very error-prone. In practice, I am often frustrated to find after grabbing and placing a mini that the game grabbed the wrong one, destroying my tactical plan and putting me at a significant disadvantage in a match.

IMHO, the mouse hot spot should be moved further toward the center of the gauntlet. If that makes it seem inaccurate, perhaps the pointed finger mouse icon should be replaced with the open hand icon when grabbing minis, as the latter looks more appropriate for grabbing things anyway.
