I understand that Baron Geddon was made trivial in the past due to poison spam and no phase change protection, but this encounter needs some tuning. Baron Geddon is the most difficult Molten Core raid boss in Warcraft Rumble, by a long shot, and the encounter is not even enjoyable. Does anyone even enjoy the Baron Geddon encounter as of late? Every time Molten Core comes around, I dread having to fight this bugger.
Ragnaros is a perfect example of how to design a difficult, yet enjoyable encounter. I definitely wiped on Ragnaros quite a few times before finally taking him down, but Baron Geddon’s encounter is a small arena flooded with lava, OHKO lava tornados, and massive minion waves despite ensuring that my partners and I are taking nearly all of the gold on the map.
I have over 150 sigils and I have completely cleared Molten Core numerous times with various builds. I just can’t reliably kill Baron Geddon anymore and I am certain that most of the community would agree that he is the most difficult Molten Core raid boss in Rumble, needing some tweaking here and there to make the fight more manageable and less annoying.

I’ll be curious to see what the nerf actually does statistically. I’m sure that very few players can kill the Boss in Matchmaking Mode anymore. I hope the difficulty of the fight will be adjusted in the next few days, it spoils the fun.

Yah, my favorite is when matchmaking groups me with a guy shooting off level 18 gargoyles, and level 19 Rend against a Level 27 boss. Like dude, you’re lucky you got past the second wing, but you have no business even trying Baron Geddon. Not even with a million dollar whale supporting you will you clear Geddon with that setup. Give me a break.
If you group with someone, you should be able to get a popup at the end that says “group with this player for this boss again?” If both of you press “Yes”, you auto-queue to try again with them. I’ve gotten the same player 10 times in a row, managed to get in the rhythm with this player to the point where we almost down Geddon, then I start getting 5 rounds in a row with Level 18 players mentioned above, even if I delay my start to have that player go ahead of me with someone else. The matchmaking is ridiculous.
Hello, I understand your problem. Me and my Raidbuddy needed 5 attempts again after the update; it is caustic if the poisons no longer stay on it.
I agree with you with the most difficult raid boss. My colleague and I had 2 tactics. One and the new one is the one with the meat carts, gargoyle, etc. With this we have killed him.
Try it like in the video, we did it. You pretty much need a few attempts, but it’s possible. I hope I was able to help you with that.
I agree I literally can’t beat it. It’s way overtuned and I won’t be doing the raid until they fix it. It’s literally a waste of time unless you have a perfect max level army specifically designed for this broken unfun encounter.
