Same issue here… but equipping the leader that was halfway through the dungeon then allowed me to end it.
I’m gonna post the same I’d answered in another open post:
“If you have stopped progressing with whatever leader you tried to level up and went on doing quests/pvp/etc, obviously your currently chosen leader will be active and dungeon recognizes that as such hence the error… Make sure you swap back to the leader you were doing the dungeon and you most likely will be good to continue. ”
This should work. Worked for me, worked for a couple of other members on discord.

Thanks for this. I’ve tried equipping the leader who previously finished the event dungeon. However, the same error occurred. Could it be the same leader with the same minis that previously finished the dungeon? If so, I cannot remember the team I previously used as it was like 2 months ago .
I’m having the same issue. I’ve had the issue since Sunday October 2nd.
I’ve tried claiming the reward with every single leader equipped - no luck.
This is severely affecting my enjoyment of the game!

The loadout shouldn’t matter because if you start a dungeon with a specific loadout and change that later for campaigns or quests while you still have an ongoing dungeon, the dungeon actually saves that current loadout and cannot be changed, you need to finish or fail that ongoing dungeon with whatever minis you have chosen at the start. It’s a snapshot.
In my case when I couldn’t continue with Charlie, I had a horde or alliance leader equipped, but when I equipped Charlie back it worked. Read reports where people didn’t really equip the specific leader with which the dungeon was started but a leader from the same family during that week (Beast).
In your case it might have to do something with a specific talent of a mini that you had equipped during your dungeon run, maybe more specific; like said specific talent messing with a relic you had chosen (if you had one). I don’t really know, seen similar reports on the discord, I’m speculating at this point, might be worth opening a ticket, Devs might need your info so they could look at the data and ID your problem.

Okay… after retrying it 5 times (picking the previous leader who won the event, then playing a quest, then claiming the dungeon) it finally worked. Thank you.

Seems like those “everyday” fixes (uninstall, reinstall, clear cache) sometimes are not worth trying and you need to look for in-game fixes, which may actually seem like stupid ideas at first.
IKR, was really frustrated when this occurred. At the time this bug occurred I did try this “fix” but it never really worked out, and so I was just hoping that it will be fixed in the next patches.
Once again, thanks for the heads up on how you fixed this . Now I can enjoy the game even more without that bug hindering me.

Just got the same issue after completing a Dungeon on run with Maiev.
Additional information just in case it helps:
I just completed 3x Dungeon runs before with Tirion and had no issue claiming it.

I have the same problem. I cannot claim reward nor close out dungeon to restart it.
Seems to have nothing to do with the device, I used an Android Samsung S7 Tablet and I’ve got the same result. Let see if devs can help us. Not being able to play Dungeons nor redeem things sucks.
A friend has this issue as well. Can you please detail the exact steps you took?
Was it (Equip Leader → do quest → try claim → do quest → try claim)?
or (Equip Leader → do quest → try claim → switch to a different leader → equip leader → do quest → try claim)?
Also very disappointing that there are multiple actual account breaking bugs in the game on release. Not what Blizzard used to stand for.

If the above suggestions are not working for you (I don’t know if any exact steps which you would need to follow would really help, since for different people different solutions worked) at this moment I’d suggest you try to backtrace what your loadout was with the used leader (leader + the 6 other minies), along with their talents if you have them, and what relics you chose.
Now I’m not a dev, nor have any knowledge about programming, but I do believe that others have experienced similar issues, but with crashes mostly (if memory serves right) that.
It might be that one or more of the talent equiped are somehow in conflict with a relic you picked.
If the game allows to check it it might be worth a shot, if not, try to remember what kind of relic you chose, if you don’t know the name of it, what it does might also help.
At this point only devs could help. Maybe open a ticket with the info I suggested.

Unbelievably frustrating that this is ignored. I have the same leader equipped and for sure the same minis and still not able to redeem. Good luck on getting blizz to acknowledge this.
I have the same problem as listed above. The main problem for me is when I “roll back” to the same leader and minis it wont work. Maybe because I upgraded a mini during the “crash”. This has resulted in me not being able to run dungeons in Blackfathoms Deep and cant for the next 13 hours. And therefore havent been able to lvl up my alliance team. That really sucks. Have also opened a ticket witch only suggest this post and reisntalling game and clearing chache as solution. Have been a gamer for half my life, and that is kinda what you do when you get crashes. But nothing have helped. Kinda ruining the game for me…And I dont feel like getting any help tbh.
