Can't play since 2 weeks (update on version 10.x) because star tome blocks everything

At the first login after the update to version 10.x of the game I could claim some gold and it asked me to select minis pairs to provide stars on them. I should get 6 stars over all. I can choose up to 5 minis for stars. But it didn’t show the last mini pair (6/6). The screen is just shadowed and I can see the previous mini pair (5/6). It is not possible to play the game anymore. Everytime the same loop. I already deleted the game and installed it fresh. I also tried to install it on a second device where rumble never runs before. Same thing.

So I missed the complete third week of the Hallows end event and now I am missing the next events. Sometimes I could play for some minutes once a day after the quest reset where the Blessing of Azeroth didn‘t popup and the popup of the star tome was delayed. After a new login or a new start of the game I am back in the loop. I am still waiting for a solution. If you a re not able to fix it in the game so please remove the start tome from my account. I don’t need the stars but I want to play the game again.

I am having the same issue with the star tome. I missed being able to do the blingtron and have not been able to collect any dailies or make any progress. I only have 3 stars, but it keeps failing at the last star choice. I have tried clearing the cashe, clearing data, and reinstalling. Reinstalling let me play untill i closed and reopened the game and it updated that i still had the star tome option.

I have the same issue. I started another thread yesterday as I did not see your thread until today. I apologize for the duplicate report. It appears there are three separate threads reporting this issue.

I was able to find a temporary workaround for the star blurred screen issue. When you first open the game you need to select your avatar/player name before the star selection pops up (very limited time, you will need to be watching the load screen and be ready to select as soon as the loading is complete). From this point select the gear icon and logout then log back into the game. You should be able to play the game from this point; however, note that once you close the game application and reopen the app, you will have to take the same steps each time (log out then log back in) you reopen the app (at least until the bug is fixed).

Still nothing fixed. Your workaround works for me sometimes but sometimes not because the star tome will appear immediately after loading the game. I am afraid that they will not fix the bug because they are interested just in quantity not in quality. From version to version there are more bugs in the game.

Just ran into this issue after a new collection level and having a six star tome.

I just hit a new collection level and was granted stars; however, I’m now stuck in a perpetual loop where after chocking so many stars, the screen simply freezes and becomes unresponsive. Unfortunately, I’m forced to choose stars whenever I restart the game and thus unable to play as the loop repeats being frozen.
