Am I the only one that has reached a point of unplayable PvP?

Am I the only one that has reached a “practical level cap” and is no longer able to play PvP because of extreme level differences in minis (6 vs 9)? What I mean by a “practical level cap” is that I am unwilling to spend any more than $10 a month to continue enjoying a game I’ve already invested ~$80 in, only to have reached a point of still being grossly outlevelled by everyone I face at ~3000+. A level 6 card vs a 9 card is so absurdly imbalanced that there really is no point playing.

My only real option to gain levels is to do daily grinds on mindless arc surge single player challenges and quests and getting all my decks levelled in repeatedly doing the same mindless dungeons. I thought I was on to something with the tome-per-leader wins which was satisfying for a while, only to have reached a level at about 20 where they are all orange or red, and are extraordinarily difficult, while at the same time providing rewards that are completely insignificant to the levelling task required to actually get my minis to a level I can PvP with.

What’s so rubbish is at its core this is the best mobile game in its class without doubt, despite the terrible balance in some instances, it’s still great, at it’s core that is. Yet predatory mobile pay-to-win practices are so strong in this game that unless you’re a single player experience kind of player, or you have no problem spending hundreds of dollars on the game, you will soon enough reach a point at which you are no longer entitled to a fair fight, despite your willingness to spend “ordinary” amounts of money on it.

It’s so sad that we live in a day where the means of enjoying your game has nothing to do with learning the game or trying new things, but is spending hundreds, or even thousands of dollars on it to have a fair fight. And the community is largely at fault here too, because plenty of players are spending this kind of money (or dedicating huge portions of their life to it) to have the upper hand here.

The whole thing, is just, absolute trash man, screw this game.

I agree with you. But the sad part of this game is it is designed to require thousands of dollars to fully progress. The math is there. They could have done it with a different strategy to maximize the play base and then get a small amount from each player. But instead they targeted the whales and are fine with a relatively low play base when compared to other games like this. This is why Rumble does only $2 million per month (probably much less now) than something like clash that does $40 mil. They should have made the progress accessible to all players and the money would have followed because of numbers…

Pay to play, blizzard is such a beggar. All they know now is like a homeless person on the streets aggressively asking you for your money, and then going home to a penthouse suite.

I think the game is great, I still like it just as much as I did at the beginning.
I can still remember the first time I stood in front of Ragnaros in WOW. My heart was pounding, boom boom boom. OK, it wasn’t exactly in front of Ragnaros in Warcraft Rumble, but I liked it a lot too. :hugs: You can play the game without spending any money. The only disadvantage is that you make much slower progress, but it is doable.
Of course there are players who spend 1,000 dollars, euros, etc., but that’s up to each individual. I do spend money in the game, but it’s manageable. :money_mouth_face:
You can, but you don’t have to. I don’t spend any money I’ve earned through work on the game. Everything I spend on the game I earned by doing surveys. And that’s not a small amount in a month.
Sometimes it goes better, sometimes worse. But I get on well with it and can play the game a bit faster that way.
