I know that many new players are quitting. They aren’t saying anything on the forums, but the ping thing they implemented is good for solo players. Sure, ping is important, but they should sort groups by MMR after the game search for ping. Now it just does randomly. The MMR system is also problematic, because many good players are ranked in the Duelist tier. They need to combine MMR and stats when sorting groups. Another issue is the XP system, which is terrible for less skilled players. They can’t even reach level 1 because if they win 1 games and lose 1, they are back to 0. I hope you can talk about this in your videos or bring attention to it because many new or less skilled players will leave. I’ve tried to get them to complain on the forums, but they say nothing will be done. The 3v3 and 4v4 modes are being affected by the ping issue and the lack of balanced matches. Also, the XP system is very bad, so people will get tired of trying to reach level one when it’s so difficult. 3v3 and 4v4 matchmaking: The matchmaking is not good, with bad players often facing good players 90% of the time. MMR system: The MMR is bad, with good players being placed in the Duelist ranking. XP system: Bad players lose too much XP, making it impossible for them to reach level 1. Problems:
- 3v3 and 4v4 matchmaking: The matchmaking is not good, with bad players often facing good players 90% of the time.
- MMR system: The MMR is bad, with good players being placed in the Duelist ranking.
- XP system: Bad players lose too much XP, making it impossible for them to reach level
Now, when you lose, you lose 35 XP. When you win your match, you get 40 XP. Does this make sense for new players? It feels like they’re stuck at level 0 for life, maybe with a bit of luck they can reach level 1, but it seems like this is by design. It feels like they’re intentionally making the game harder to the point where players are leaving. How can they go from losing 15 XP to losing 35 XP?
With the current XP system (losing 35 XP on a loss and only gaining 40 XP on a win), new players are likely to feel stuck at low levels, frustrated by the difficulty of progression, and possibly quit the game. Without adjustments to the system, there is a risk of high player drop-off and increased frustration. By providing some sort of XP buffer, increasing rewards for wins, or reducing penalties for losses, the game could create a more rewarding experience that encourages player retention and progress.
