So, I’m really tempted to chalk up all of the cuts we’ve seen today to the fact that they only have two months left to release the game and meet their original deadline.
As a matter of curiosity, would you be willing to see the game pushed back slightly for the cut content to actually be introduced?
If so, what feature would you like to be given priority?
Personally speaking, as much as I want to play it right now I’d settle for having it pushed back by a handful of months if they were to give us proper cutscenes and new voiceovers (Though I’d appreciate we not have any cut content at all). The wait would, naturally, be much easier if we had any dialogue with the dev team, or the occasional showcase of news.
Of course I would. I want the best game we can possibly have, and that includes the revised campaign. Just delay the game to Q1 of 2020 to give them the extra time they need to make that happen.
This is how they should handle it, honestly. The campaign is slated to be nothing but a disappointment if it releases in a state that is almost the same as the original.
I actually really hope they delay it and add back everything they walked back on, instead of rushing it out. Or, as someone else mentioned in another thread, have only the multiplayer come out for now, and the revised campaign to come out later.
The old campaign will still be in the game (but updated with the new graphics), so literally nobody loses with this situation vs where everyone who was interested in the revised campaign are left to dry.
Fk yes we want a delay!!! seems like they are super far behind and are having to cut things in order to get this rushed out in time. Ill wait 2 more years if thats what it would take. The beta looks like sh!t, the reforged campaign is being cut, no ladder at release, no new cut scenes, no new CGI cinematics, and all for what? so we can play the game a few months earlier? Fk that!!! Blizzard, if you are reading this, there is still time to announce a delay!
A delay is definitely the right decision here. It’s not like they will have ladder on the release anyway. Better a finished product than an unfinished one.
I’m not expecting disappointment at all. I’m expecting what was originally advertised but with revision because development happens.
The only thing that could disappoint me is the removal of the redone campaign maps and the complete forcing of female replacement generic hero units. I want a 50/50 spawn chance on those, not a straight replacement.
I think this is why we are seeing concerns on these forums. People preordered, they expect to get what they lent Blizzard money a year for. Or should I say paid a year in advance for? This is why you don’t pre-order though. I guess they should have known. That’s why I didn’t preorder until recently.
I do not regret my pre-order. I’m getting exactly what I saw at BlizzCon.
All that other stuff was from news articles and such outside of the main presentation and I was led to believe, given my own knowledge of Warcraft lore, that the additional content wouldn’t have been major anyway.
I’m getting a redone Stratholme, new models, new graphics, maps that are being redesigned to more resemble how they’re laid out in WoW… that’s what was said at BlizzCon on stage.
I’m just not getting all that extra crap from news articles after the fact.
