Hello. I have installed Warcraft III to my laptop too, when i click open map or file > open map, world editor closing immediately. Tried both x64 and x86.
The below solutions may or may not work to help solve your problem. There are a few map makers that are having issues launching their maps in worldeditor since the most recent patch, and this may require a patch from blizzard to fix the issue.
Changing your games locale to enUS
Open Run
Windows button + R is the hotkey
Type regedit
Hit Enter to open Registry Editor
Navigate to the following (copy/paste or follow)
Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Blizzard Entertainment\Classic Launcher\w3
Modify Locale to enUS if it is not already
After, you can close it up and test if the map will open in the editor.
Repair your installation
If that doesn’t work, you can try using Warcraft III Launcher.exe located in the root directory of your Warcraft III installation folder. This can be used to repair your installation.
Re-install your Warcraft III
Finally, you can try uninstalling and reinstalling your Warcraft III installation to see if this resolves it.
