Issue ( Running Warcraft3: Reforged via Battle.net launcher )
No internet
Frame drops
Confirmed
No internet, pinging, etc. works normally with IP ( I figured it was a DNS lookup issue ), DNS was blocked for some unknown reason and then resolved after about a minute
In the case of frame drops, when I checked, it was definitely running on the internal graphics in the task manager even though there was an external graphics card ( Process tab - Column - GPU Engine is caught as the internal graphics card, and the internal graphics card usage, memory increase, etc. in the Performance tab )
As a way to alleviate frame drops, you can temporarily respond by disabling the internal graphics in the device manager and forcibly leaving only the external graphics.
Well, whatever the “standard purchase date” was, that’s obviously when the issue started for you.
I’m trying to figure out what exactly the first issue your reference is. If you have no internet, then, maybe you should get/turn on your internet. Perhaps you actually just mean “I can’t connect to the game servers?” If that is the case try using a VPN, this can change the route you take to reach the server and may be able to tell you where it lies if using a VPN allows you to connect.
As for issue #2, there are a few ways to fix this, it is a common issue since version 2.0.0
Open Device Manager, find your integrated graphics under “display adapters” in the list, right click, properties, and click “disable device”
Disable the integrated graphics in your system’s UEFI BIOS utility
In the Settings app, navigate to System > Display > Graphics. Below where it says “custom settings for applications” type warcraft in the search box to filter, click on Warcraft III in the list, and where it says “GPU preference,” Select “Specific GPU: ” in the dropdown menu.
I have not verified option 3 myself but it should work. I went the “disable in device manager” route, since there is no reason to ever use the integrated graphics when a graphics card is present.
As a side note, when asking for help, please write out the full names of your hardware components and include as much information as possible like your ISP, connection speed, and so on. There are multiple AMD CPUs that share the same set of numbers on the end, so its unclear which Ryzen series you’re using i.e. Ryzen 3 5 7 or 9.
