Update
I moved this post from the “bugs forum” to the “technical support forum”. Im not sure where its most fitting… There seems to be a gray area between the two forums since all bugs require technical support (lol). But anyways…
Windowed mode use to work flawlessly before the latest patch, and now it has multiple bugs that occur at random times - sometimes it’s one bug, sometimes it’s the other, and on very rare occasions, it works perfectly fine as it did before.
Few of the bugs:
- (The main and most reoccurring issue) The window opens to a size so large, that it extends wayyyy outside of my screen (width-wise only, height is okay). This makes manually controlling the size of the window difficult - I have to drag the screen over a couple of times until I find the corner of the page, and then i stretch it to a size that fits in my window… but… when i go into full screen again, and then back into windowed mode again, it resets everything i did and gives me the previous window bug again. It literally never saves the window that i set it at.
2a. The window opens to the extents of my screen to its default size (almost full screen with the bottom icon area revealed), but i cannot move my mouse pointer outside of the warcraft window. So my screen enters into windowed mode just fine, but i am confined and restricted to be within the extents of the warcraft window, and that window only (which defeats the purpose of entering windowed mode to multitask with other programs).
2b. Same issue as above, but if the windowed pops up lower on my screen near the icons (it changes location), then i can at least click on my icons and use other programs and such as I’m supposed to. But still, i’m confined within the warcraft window and i cannot drag or change the window size.
- The window mode opens up just fine, but my mouse in non-existant and everything on my screen seems to be frozen. And then entering back into full screen takes significantly longer everytime this bug happens.
And as a side note, all of these bugs happen without me changing any settings or doing anything differently then i did before (when it worked flawlessly). In short, i’m literally rolling the dice every time i go into window mode on which bug i get. It’s quite frustrating!
