Will maps and mods be compatible with version 2.0 of the game?
With what happened to Mac users, who have problems with the game, to the point that they are upset because they have downloaded 30gb of the game, only to have their files deleted or not being able to connect and log in. Will these problems also extend to those who have Windows?
I ask because for that very reason, the development of a new update for the game has been leaked, as if it were a new expansion, as it was with Starcraft 2 Wings Of Liberty, or Hearth of the Swarm or with Legacy of the Void or with Nova Covert Ops or with the return of the game Free to Play in 5.0,
Will this huge update patch for Warcraft III: Reforged allow maps created on the pages of “Epicwar .com” or in “Hive workshop . com” to continue being playable or will they have to be changed or will they simply not be playable anymore?
I also know that with the addition of the Microsoft team to the Activision-Blizzard-King system, just as they have updated old games such as Bethesda and its Doom 1 by adding a custom game system, an “Arcade” like with Starcraft 2, or the Creation Club modification system of Skyrim or Fallout 4.
More with the release of the video game Age of Mythology Retold, which is practically a well-made Warcraft 3 Reforged, and the suspension of services for the Age of Empires 3 Complete Collection for multiplayer mode and its replacement by the Definitive Edition.
It is a great content patch 2.0 to add to the Xbox Game Pass, why is it not allowed to enter the Public Test Realm (PTR) but only the developers have access to it?
Warcraft 3 Reforged has a problem with the main menu working with Google Chrome. Are they reworking it? Or are they doing something similar like they did with Heroes of the Storm that uses the Starcraft 2 engine? That is, are they adapting Warcraft 3 to the Starcraft 2 engine? If so, will it allow maps created for the old version of Warcraft 3, before 2.0, to continue being played or will they be incompatible?
Right now the single player and multiplayer systems are separate, in terms of normal games, as well as custom games.
That is, in the single player option, you enter campaign, or custom campaign or custom game.
Then in another tab of the main menu, enter multiplayer and go to normal games, that is, versus, but the tournament part is not in the same slot as with Starcraft 2
And then in the main menu you have Custom Games to enter the games made by the community maps.
And another slot to play in a local area but that requires Bonjour services
With this new update, are they modifying the main menu of the Warcraft 3 game and making it more similar to Starcraft 2, where it is more organized and practical? Where multiplayer includes normal games and tournaments, and then the arcade to play custom maps or other types of games and custom campaigns?.
This leads me to also talk about how in Starcraft 2, maps cannot be modified in the editor, in Warcraft 3 they can, in Starcraft even if you download the map in the Arcade or in a custom campaign you cannot modify it in the editor itself, but in the editor itself you must log in and search for the map yourself if it is published and if it allows you to modify it.
Is this another way to reinforce the authorship of the rights of maps and modifications as well as creations made with the game engine by BLizzard? This same problem was the one that occurred at the beginning of the game’s launch, regarding a total authorship of them by Blizzard.
I also know that Blizzard has developed strategy games as well as Microsoft, so it is not strange that both companies combine their knowledge to fortify their products and services, facing the development of future games, be they Warcraft IV, Starcraft III, Age of Empires V or Rise of Nations 2 or Age of Mythology 2, or whatever future game is planned.
But I repeat and ask again, how will this update end up affecting the development of the community? Because I am worried about them, seriously:
For example:
Lord of the Clans - HD ( Warcraft Lord of the Clans - Launch Trailer)
Warcraft 3 Re-Reforged: Path of the Damned Act I - Release Trailer
Warcraft: Chronicles of the Second War - Launch Trailer
Age of Warcraft - Demo Release Trailer
I know that Microsoft has developed paid campaigns in Age of Empires and Age of Mythology as well as the addition of cosmetics such as microtransactions, be they:
Skins for factions, the Kirin Tor, Gilneas, Stormwind, the Forsaken, the Orcish Horde of Draenor, the Highborn, the Scarlet Crusade, the Argent Crusade, Dalaran, or directly the Blood Elves of Silvermoon, affecting units, buildings or custom heroes such as Jaina’s Daughter of the Sea, Cataclysm’s Thrall, Arthas’ Fallen Prince or the Emerald Nightmare Cenarius, that is to say more implementations of these paid ones.
As well as banners, gestures, emoticons or new interfaces for the player as with Starcraft 1 and Starcraft 2.
How will this affect the community of players who have developed maps or modifications in the game that already implement these features?
Or will they be directly censored and removed for monetarily compromising the game system and being able to maliciously alter it online?
All these implementations of Custom Maps, Custom Campaigns, Custom Features such as:
Quenching Mod v2.2 Oldborn - Warcraft III Reforged Mod
Do they compromise and negatively affect and harm the system that will be implemented in patch 2.0 or will they be able to continue to exist and coexist together?
These are my doubts about it, because I really don’t know very well what is planned to be done in the game, I only know that Mac users can no longer access the game, and that the PTR cannot be accessed because it is currently exclusive to the developers, as well as that on November 13 there will be a Direct for the 30th Anniversary of Warcraft and things will be announced as shown in the promotional image that shows Thrall and Tyrande from the Warcraft 3 version riding their respective mounts from the Reforged game.
Thank you in advance for your attention.
Best regards.
