Will large amounts of units cause lag

I remember in custom games if you had a ton of units on screen, they couldn’t move properly. They would walk a couple steps, stop for a bit, repeat x infinity. It wasn’t very smooth hopefully that gets fixed

The custom game scene seems to be their prime mover for reforged in which this was a big problem so it should be something they take seriously.

If they do or can or even plan on addressing they haven’t stated as far as I know. Hopefully they can improve this though!

Yea this was a big issue. It made late game scenarios or some custom games unplayable because of how much it affected gameplay

It was probably a memory issue. They said the old code had a lot fail safes and other artificial restriction due to the PCs’ lack of power and they have been able to improve it a lot already just be removing these, since today we don’t have that kind of power limitations anymore. I guess this a good example of the issues caused by these memory restrictions.
