It’s still an observation, not a fact.
They swept Reforged under the rug for Blizzcon - that is a fact. It happened and is verifiable.
They tend to sweep Reforged under the rug - not a fact. You’re talking about future patterns of behaviour which can’t be proven as facts. It’s a keen observation though. That’s all I’m pointing out.
I mean… they MIGHT exist… but it’d be damn near impossible to prove anyway even if they did.
Anyway, on a more serious note, I’m with you about Blizzard being put under Dreamhaven instead. Actually what I’m hoping for is Dreamhaven to release a game, make some serious bank on it, and then buy the Warcraft, StarCraft, and Diablo IP’s from Activision.
I can see that. If they made a game that was better than what blizz currently has and it caused vast majority of fans to leave blizz, I can see Activision agreeing to sell Diablo, Starcraft, and Warcraft. They may even consider just selling all of blizzard’s IP’s all together. However the following would have to happen to convince Activision.
1: Diablo 2 Resurrected ends up DOA like Warcraft III Reforge.
2: Diablo IV ends up not selling good.
3: Overwatch 2 is either cancelled or is DOA
If these 3 happen then really only World of Warcraft is making money that might be all they need but with a Company that has 6 different games (names) under their belt for only one to be pulling its own weight is not good for business.
If the above does happen I will get back into warcraft III but until either this dumpster fire is putout and the game given the work it deserves and needs to actually be worthy of the Name WarCraft III I wont be installing it.

Yeah I don’t disagree. Then again with Blizzard’s current track record, it wouldn’t surprise me if all 3 of those things happened at all.
As far as getting back into Warcraft 3, I’m currently playing with Pre-Reforged patches. Screw Activision. Fortunately online multiplayer was never a serious consideration of mine.

I reckon I’m a bit late here but, buttery smooth compared to a game from 2002 is not exactly a grand comparison. In regards to your other points with how they are subjective…
The overwhelming majority of the units do not look better, nor do they resemble the originals and neither do the resemble their world of warcraft counterparts (with exception to the scourge units who I will defend all day.) They are objectively worse and look like something out of RAID shadowlegends, that app that bombards my phone with adds…
The Environments are not only NOT better but they are actively worse than the originals because at least in the original I could stand seeing the units moving around in them vs the radioactive green garbage that has been spewed across the landscape where I get to watch a bunch of outsourced, out of place models wander around like I’m playing some sort of custom import hackjob that I did when I was twelve. Actually come to think of it twelve year old me did a better job of putting resources into the original game than these schmucks did for whatever measly paycheck they were given and even that seems to good for this utter failure of a product.
Out of curiosity did you every have reforge installed after having pre-reforge Warcraft III on your pc?
I recently got new dics Battle chest set from Amazon. Currently they have 4 in stock at $40 +shipping, and 29 others from the New & Used section from $16 and up.
I installed my disc and put them to patch 1.27 I think is the highest before it wants to launch the battle.net launcher version. I thought I could play both Reforge and the pre-reforge just installed to 2 different drivers. unfortunately I not sure if it is a Registry problem or what but After installing Reforge now the pre-reforge version’s map editor does not want to open. did you happen to notice this? or anyone here for that matter?
yes. this is a well documented result of running reforged on your computer, to fix it you must delete the key entry called Tool Windows

Yea its something like “HKEY_/Software/Blizzard Entertainment/WorldEdit” and then theres a list of maybe 40 names values and one of them is named Tool Windows. Generally people say dont tamper with the registry, so, dont change anything except for deleting Tool Windows. If you dont see something named Tool Windows, dont try to delete anything else. Just keep looking

Oh ok thanks. I always make backups of my registry in the event i need to go into it. Hopefully I can save up my money to get a second pc for streaming and I can install Reforge onto that pc so I have both Version on 2 different registries.

ya I wish for that 2 but chances are it wont happen for 2 or more years if we are lucky. We probably have better luck hoping for the following to happen,

once those things happen we would have a hopeful and maybe better chance of Dreamhaven buying all Blizzard Titles/IP. So they can fix this mess since the vast majority of Blizzard is now Activision people who probably don’t have a clue on how blizzard fans expect games like Reforge. this game is not even worthy of the WarCraft III name. I have friends now calling it “WarTrash III Trashforged” , I heard that and could not argue. this game does not live up to the name.
Hell this is worse than the very first Starcraft that was reworked cause it was being called “Orcs in Space” hence the Reference from Artanis “This is NOT Warcraft in Space!”
