Widescreen support

Please bring back widescreen support can’t be that hard.
I’m aware of the workaround but doesn’t work in my case ,ini file always goes default after edit

Set to Fullscreen (window) and it should just work without modifying the .ini file.

Yes it does but the resolution is capped at 2560x1080 and it’s right mess to look at.

Are you certain? I’m on 3440x1440 and the game appears to be running at native resolution to me.

Back in my day, 16:10 was considered “widescreen”.

Deffo bro, I can’t get native res to work for some reasons, all drivers up to date as well so man like me super confused.

How are you getting 3440x1440??

I never saw that option in the settings.

Set scaling to GPU and use fixed aspect ratio scaling. This can be set in the GPU drivers. This solves the ugly stretch by pillar boxing the output, as one used to do in old versions of Warcraft III. It will still be at least 16:9, even if it does not use the full screen area.

I can get 2560x1600 which is what my monitor res is .

I have a 3440x1440 monitor. I can’t choose anything higher than 1920x1200.

My experience went as follows:
Started up game and everything was stretched at 1920x1080. Set resolution to 1920x1200. Black bars appeared.

Closed game. Went to .ini file, manually set resolution to 2560x1440 (setting it to 3440x1440 didn’t work) and loaded up.

Everything looked good. Black bars still.

Changed mode from Fullscreen to Fullscreen (windowed) and now I have 3440x1440 in-game (it’s wide but not stretched, and the quality is high, not upscaled.)

Hope those steps can help someone!

Odd cause all I did was open up the game and the resolution was already set to 2560x1600 .

I have a 75Hz monitor. I see 3 entries per resolution - 30Hz, 60Hz and 75Hz. I wonder if this is affecting it in some way.

What do you see?

2560X1800@60 (if I select this i get some weird virtualized desktop.)
It is a driver thing as it shows in any game.

what matters

2560x1600@60
2560X1440@60
so on so forth
I do not get to pick any refresh rates.

Nice one for the tip I’ll give a go later on.

Hmm interesting. I wonder why I see three options per resolution – strange!
