Why does Warcraft III Reforged look like a browser game?

I heard about reforged and got so excited. But then I saw that it looks like some browser game, or like cartoon. I don’t know, I am kinda disappointed :frowning:

Because it is outsourced to an Malaysian studio called LemonSky Studios and they make ‘anime’ games

He is the forum police ‘troll’ no need to discuss with him, and yes you are on point and that companies only ‘game’ I mean a full game their own title is an anime mobile moba that got sued by Blizzard cause they ripped off their unit names and ‘concepts’

We (unfortunately) know that the Classic Games team is a much smaller team. Not saying that they couldn’t do it all in-house, but it really seems like higher up on the food chain and corporate ladder they’re not really willing to inject stuff like Heroes of the Storm or Classic Games with much more of a budget and developers.

Hell when I saw the date of Reforged (the ambiguous 2019 date of on/before December 31st) I was surprised that (A) it was coming out right next year since it seemed to be on a larger scale than Starcraft: Remastered and (B) that it wasn’t more of a 2020 thing.

I had no idea pointing out easily accessible information (https://www.lemonskystudios.com/project-timeline/) was trolling. Bless your heart.

Are you thinking of Heroes of Warfare? That’s the only recent thing coming up in my search for recent events involving Blizzard and suing someone.

Oh dear, he debunks your statements with easily accessible facts and because he is not jumping on your blizzard hate train he is a troll not worth disccussing with? So far you only showed that its probably not worth arguing with yourself. And what has the “anime mobile game” part to do with the companies artistic expertise? The list of games they worked on consists of alot of well received triple-a titles. And they seemingly still get hired for more work. They cant be that bad.

HURR DURR, ARE THEY OUT OF THEIR MIND BUILDINGS GAMES WITHOUT WESTERN WHITE ARTISTS ONLY UGGGGH…
Outsourcing stuff is common practice, especially if you lack the manpower for all your projects. The alternative would be probably no reforged at all

Looking into this, it’s hilarious and tangled:

  1. Blizzard wasn’t trying to sue Lemon Sky.
  2. Blizzard was actually trying to sue Lilith Games.
  3. Blizzard wasn’t going after Heroes Charge, they were actually going after the game Soul Clash.
  4. Soul Clash was the game developed by Lilith Games.
  5. Lilith Games was actually already trying to sue uCool, the developers of Heroes Charge. The game that Lemon Sky actually did art and assets for.

Like, let’s say you and I each own a bakery across the street from each other. You, NagaRylGuard, have a really nice sign above the storefront. I hire a designer. I tell the designer what I want and have them make it. You look outside one day and notice my new, remarkably-similar-to-yours sign. Doesn’t it make more sense for you to get mad at me, the boss, who wouldn’t accept anything less than a striking, worrying resemblance to your work?

But do you know what happened, Blizzard won and both companies’ rights now belong to Blizzard and that is the reason why Blizz is using LemonSky to outsource, because they owe them probably 2-3 Warcraft III: Reforged’s

Gonna need a source on that, the articles I keep getting nothing but that it was dismissed. One saying ‘dismissed with prejudice’.

Also, again, Blizzard never sued Lemon Sky or uCool. They were suing Lilith Games.

There is a thing called case merging you know? when subjects are releated to the result of each other cases are being merged so Blizz sued Lilith which sued LemonSky which caused both cases to be merged and one result gives all the answers

I still can’t find anything on Blizzard and Valve winning the lawsuit against Lilith Games and uCool.

Again, Lemon Sky was never sued.

EDIT: The best I’m finding is, again, ‘dismissed with prejudice’ for the original filing of the lawsuit. And then in the joint case, the most I’m finding is that it uCool was denied partial summary judgment.

‘Researching’ is a very generous term for:

  1. Opening a new tab in Chrome.
  2. Google searching ‘lemon sky studios’.
  3. Clicking the first result (their homepage).
  4. Clicking the ‘LS GAME’ link in the site header.
  5. Scrolling down the page to find the ‘See more Games…’ hyperlink and clicking it.

I was installed here by… I think it was Grubby livestreaming the Culling? Where he gave the bit.ly link that lead directly to the forums.
