Why arent the devs responding?

Major gaming forums are talking about this, gaming news outlet are reporting this. The forum is filled with angry customers. The longer they wait the worse they look.
And they refuse to fan the flames. Are they trying to sabotage themselves? Or do they have no backbone?

Uh, hi?
First time in the forums?
Devs have been dead silent this whole time.
One bluepost every three months detailing a patch changelog, that’s all they ever did.

Devs have been passive aggressively silent since the game was announced. 2019 was a real bad reflection of blizzards professionalism imo. No other franchise has done that before

I keep seeing this. Is it rumor or is there a confirmed source of who developed the game? Asking for research and curiosity

The Devs are probably being held hostage by Blizzards goon squad. No-doubt they have been telling their executive managers they need more support and the game is not ready but they are bound my contractual obligations.

About this time is when one brave soul will decide to leave and spill the beans on what has really been going on…

Diablo 3 failed due to poor design choices and ignoring the communities feedback. However, they did put resources behind the game it just didn’t play very well. Warcraft 3 Reforged has just been a sham from the start and its obvious its been a massive money grab with little investment from Blizzard.

The difference here is that Diablo was just an average game that deviated too far from what made the original games great. Warcraft 3 Reforged was never even given a chance to succeed.

Activsion laid off most of the Blizzard Community and QA teams last year because the Activision Execs wanted better Bonuses.

There’s only a handful of underpaid and overworked recent college grads trying to deal with this disaster.

Probably busy working their butts off, trying to squeeze every last ounce of juice out of the tiny budget their Activision overlords left them — after “cutting costs” halfway through development.

Most recent thing a developer has said:

IMO out of all these remade classics being remade with care, this would of been a slam dunk for them if they done it well. WoW was made because of this game. WC3 inspired many games today. And the streamer era we live in now would garner more interest. More people who never played Warcraft would be interested to try it. Next generation of gamers to build the brand off of. Instead they cut the budget, outsourced the game and release a terrible product. Which HURTS them as a WHOLE. People will not buy the game, people will refund the game. People will not buy OTHER products from them. It just seems like common sense to not screw this up. But they did.

Their radio silent treatment over more than a year, their passive-agressive actitude, like aggressively patching, now is reflected in agressive-agressive score in Metacritic (1.2 by now) :joy: :joy:

Look up Lemon Sky. They are literally posting on facebook and every other website about all the work they did on WC3 Reforged. It’s no secret or rumor. It’s fact.

Gotcha. They look like they do solid work but weren’t given enough direction. I also can’t blame them for the technical bugs.

yes, so true. i will never understand ppl… i mean even a child could think so far right ?! i always had the feeling that the higher someone stands in society, the dumber he is and thus those ppl in big companies that make the decisions have no common sense at all and no brain. they only see numbers and money and they don’t know what it means to actually use the brain for once and start thinking…

someone should hire me, it would lead to creating the most profitable games ever that everyone would love !!

i knew from the first moment that a warcraft 3 remaster/remake, done right is the opportunity of the decade for blizzard… they could have made millions if not billions on this. first create high quality remake that everone loves. then create additional content for it and sell this content like they did with the crappy sc cartooned. do this for a few years and its a goldmine. everyone is happy, the players have a high quality game to play and enjoy, the company makes massive money… its a win-win.

what blizzard and many other companies are doing here is a lose-lose for everyone. they lose more than those decisionmaking apes can imagine and the players lose aswell… everything they long for… its just so sad, its beyond believe :frowning:

About a year ago, Blizzard’s community and QA teams got gutted. They don’t have the resources to respond to everything. And if the launch of BfA patch 8.3 and WC3: Reforged is any indication…It’s now become impossible to hide how badly that decision has hurt Blizz.

I saw an article on Newsweek of all places.

$100 says when the devs to respond they use the same line from the Bliztchung controversy - Some bs about taking their time to listen.

All they had to do was peruse their own forums. The common consensus was this game is not ready for release. Most people on the forums were upset it wasn’t delayed FURTHER. 6-12 months.

They actually have the resources tho (in terms of money). Last year was the most profitable year for them. They cut those teams to give the executives bigger bonuses.

Its because Activision owns the horn, not Blizzard.

Year before last. And there’s no doubt they have the MONEY to, but they don’t have the correct staff to…cause they got axed last year.

EA does it it all the time and still sells a ton…
