I mean yes i know warcraft 1 is almost unplayable by todays standards and i barely remember it. I still wish blizzard wouldve done a remake all of 3 warcraft games. They could at least add the 2 campaigns as an after thought at least .

Honestly not worth it. There are WC3 remakes and they are playable just the same. WC1 and 2 would need changes to make em playable, and at that point it is no longer WC1 or 2.
There was barely any story in the campaign themselves, you could literally get all that from the cutscenes and mission briefings on youtube.

Honestly they already are through fan custom maps. Hive has a bunch you can play right now, and Blizzard wouldnt put much more effort in revamping the old campaigns since they literally had no story to tell.
If you want a 1:1 remake, its already available on hive.

As an “eventually” thing I wouldn’t mind them as add-on campaigns in an official capacity. Though there are a few fan remakes in Warcraft 3 already, so I’d think that other than official voice acting and nostalgia’s sake, the only bigger benefits would be the addition of more premade stuff for mapmakers to mess with.
Its a custom map community site, a repository of custom maps. There should be plenty of fan made wc1 and 2 campaigns to peruse, from faithful recreations to reimagined campaigns.

There is no point of make a remaster of war1 & 2, if they would remake it that will have the same future as AoE:DE. Is exciting to have a remake of a legend but playing the same game play is boring for the modern game ways. But i really hope and would like if they make to War3R some expansions of war1&2 campaign bcuz they are dying story lines.

I just Wanted full on ship battles of war2 as I can’t really remember ship combat being as good in war3. Though I’m probably mistaken as it’s been years since I played any of them.

All my hope for a remake or remaster of War 1/2 died when they put the games on GOG. I can’t imagine them basically handing the games over to another storefront when they have their own unless they were truly washing their hands of the games. I don’t think they’d even do the campaigns as a kind of WC3R DLC, which is what would probably be best anyways.

Warcraft 2 would need a UI and AI pathing upgrade for sure.
Having to select each of the 10+ unit producing buildings by mouse and then having to queue up a single unit at a time is just unenjoyable.
Lacking rally points for new units from buildings is also missing, as is the “idle worker” notification.

Would be nice if Blizzard recreated them or came to an agreement with one of the map creators to add them to the campaign. Would be cool to be able to play right through Warcraft without having to hunt down a custom map.
