Alright just food for thought. Head hunters, the real demons berserkers cost 2 food, insanely cheap. Just chop down fiends and aboms frostys etc. Just saying they are pretty good against undead lol, slight nerf maybe??? Just a little one. Go undead

Troll Berserkers are the strongest 2 supply unit in the game with t3. You pay 2 supply and cost of a 2 supply unit, but you get the stats of a 3 supply unit. Thats how strong they are. You also have Troll Regen which recently got buffed aswell, that adds up to 1.25 HP regen per second - 5 times as good as regular regeneration of 0.25 HP per second!
Because of this, Disease Cloud is a lot less effective on them. Troll Berserkers have too many raw stats, they were inflated so much by power creep. Compare them to Ghouls with Frenzy. You will immediately realize that stats per cost is terrible for Ghouls, which are also melee so their damage output is way less.
Ghouls are useless even with Frenzy. They will be pulled once into the fight with frenzy, then they will die and not be rebuild again because they have trash stats. These 2 supply units with tier 3 updates need to be brought in line with each other.
Troll Berserkers received massive buffs. More range, more HP, more regen, Berserk ability buffed!
Archers received massive buffs: +15 HP, +33% Marksmanship effectivenss, Elune’s grace
Ghouls received +10% attack speed which does almost nothing because they simply get focused fired and die before doing lots of damage. Melee units also don’t benefit from being masses as much as ranged units obviously because they cannot all attack at once. To make up this difference, they need superiour stats and win in 1vs1 combat against ranged units.
But the laughable fact is, they don’t! Ghouls are trash units and need a big buff in HP to be usable as real army units. There is no reason to use them other to dump them with one fight +frenzy. With this UD has effectively one melee Unit with the abomination thats worth using. And the sad part is UD has vampiric aura which doesn’t help Aboms and it also doesn’t make Ghouls any good because they are just free exp tomes.
Another big problem of Ghouls: Since you must have many of them, you also need more statues. One statue can only heal 6 units at once. Using Fiends and Aboms is much more effective since you will have less units. With Ghouls you also need more statues, and as soon as the Ghouls die you have excess statues that do not benefit you.
There are so many reasons why Ghouls are trash. The easiest solution to solve this is to accept the fact that Blizzard buffed tons of units, heroes and summons and Ghouls are a victim of powercreep. They need much more hitpoints and also armor to be effective at all. Especially armor to increase the value of healing effects such as vampiric aura.
stomp covers pretty much the whole screen, followed by chain lightning and gone are all the cheap ghouls. impale + nova + carrion swarm doesn’t do the same to head hunters even though casted from 3 heroes while orcs need only 2 heroes.
i think berserker upgrade should change the costs of head hunters from 2 supply to 3 supply - would still be abusable by orcs by delaying the berserker upgrade and after researching it while being at 100 supply orcs can have over supply but can’t produce more ofc.
ghouls frenzy should be a t2 upgrade and on t3 ghouls need another upgrade. give them a mini aura affecting only ghouls. as long as more than X ghouls are together they get a little hp buff (+25hp), a bit more armor (+1), and a bit more damage (+1-2). ghouls in groups become stronger. single ghouls just die like before. now small packs of ghouls can maybe harass the orc eco or can be taken to the fight and don’t die immediately to stomp+chain lightning.
it’s a shame that ud has no alternative to fiends and fiends are only good in skilled hands while headhunters stomp do devastating damage even when controlled by chimps.
Ud tears everywhere!! Wanna nerf HH… FINE!! But nerf every ranged unit in the game. Melee units are completely useless in today’s meta. Even orcs, the melee race, have been forced to play ranged.
nope. headhunter’s received a huge buff and then slowly orc’s figured hh is way easier to abuse. why bother and play classic raider grunt kodo when hh stomp is practically earns free wins when facing undeads.
Nope, HH had to be buffed because they where garbage . Grunt, raiders have disappeared because melee is useless nowadays and a lot harder to manage. But keep whining about orc, hopefully UD will get a nice nerf next patch.
whoever thinks beetles are good is not playing at top level.
it took a tiny amount of time to develop counters to CL first, and even then you are stuck with CL first who is an awful mid-late game hero and you desperately regret not having DK first so he is high level.
