i know they have the tendency to add more armor to female characters (like the archer) but taking away armor from male character is something new (ofc they will never take away armor from a female character)

Yeah I really have no clue why they do this. It probably has something to do with the suits in charge fearing that slightly exposed women will hurt game sales.
In hearthstone jaina had her hero portrait changed to hide her chest with a shirt. However heroes of the storm drops whitemane here and she isn’t even wearing pants:

In editor half of dreadlords have armor and half don’t. It’s not like they all don’t have armor.

…Which makes it even more impressive. Keeping things the same is one thing but to actually create a whole new female character and give her some sex appeal? Props to blizzard.
Considering DLs are vampirid demons who tower over humans, and regenerate from bloodshed; the argument could be made that they look more intimidating without armour.

Its funny you mention that because I ended up making a huge post with over 100 replies requesting for some sort of representation to lgbtq in the new campaigns in Warcraft3 reforged.
Im not sure what happened to that post, I searched my history but couldn’t find it there. Actually I think you posted on that mega-thread along with YourArthus and KingOmelette. It started as a jab to anger purists but at the same time I did want some kind of reference beyond footmen and alchemist jokes. But now that the campaign was cut it doesn’t matter anymore.
