What race do you play and why?

Hello everyone. I didn’t see a topic about the different races of Warcraft. So I thought I might make one.

  1. What is your favorite race to play and why?

  2. Do you have a favorite unit or hero?

  3. Anything else you might like to add?

Enjoyed playing as the undead due to their hero design and auto build feature. Favorite unit has to either be the necromancer or frostwyrm.
As for the hero I thought he dread lord is cool because he can summon the infernal at level 6.

Human, I like a defensive race that can build a good fortress for war of attrition tactic.

Spellbreaker. I love the Blood Elf for the lore and the Spellbreaker…well is a good counter for a lot of army.

I love pasta, but maybe is because I’m italian

  1. Human, love anything related to knights and armors. (orc/undead/night elf, have sh1tty “armors”)

  2. Footman (see above)

  3. Human hero with agility attribute (paladin could work)

Human, because they were originally based on Christian Europe, and because they are not degenerate, like the Orcs, the Undead, and to a lesser extent, the Night Elves.

Warcraft 3’s Hero system is wonky. i could never figure out why all the races do not have at least 1 option for each main stat (only Orc does).

Human

Always enjoyed their aspects and their voice lines when I first started playing. Learned to use them more and more, and eventually loved their defensive capabilities. Quick Note, I’m a casual XD But I enjoy the game I play instead of just compete over things lol. Eventually I dove more and more into the lore and fell in love with the entire faction. I do however love to mix it up with custom units and everything for spice, but I still love their base too.

As for hero, I love the Blood Mage, originally because of the voice lines as well xD But I also got really good at using him. (Recently been using Archmage cause Jaina skin lol but over the past 10 years, blood mage has been favorite)

Else to add: I love this game, and want it to grow and be better. Both competitive and for the casuals like me lol.

In 2003-2004 I made my choice :

First I played Orc because they had best first melee warriors (Grunts) that was most important for me, as for Protoss Zealots in Starcraft, and with ranged hero Far seer with wolves, as I considered at this time melee heroes were dying too fast.

Then the lack of early healing was a big problem for me, in Reign of Chaos you didn’t have race shop or Shadow Hunter, then I switched Human for Paladin and his Holy Light for healing.

Then I switched Undead because Death Knight was basically Paladin but with its Death Coil striking 3 races instead of 1 with Paladin’s Holy Light. Abominations were better than Knights, Fiends better than Riflemen, and Ghouls had Cannibalize. This was before Death Coil nerf (cooldown and price compared to Holy Light), but I had already mastered this race and didn’t change since then.

My fav were and are NE cuz:

as a kid I loved the ideas of big trees throwing rocks and units riding on big panthers/tigers.

Now I still love these aspects but also like this race cause of:

  • the unique nice building animations
  • the chimera which reminds me a bit of king gidorah
  • the menacing looking Druid of the claws
  • the detailed look of the mountain giant
  • the damn hot girls

Fav heroes: hard one but again all NE units except Keeper I guess aswell as mountain king, Crypt lord, DK and blademaster.

Fav campaign hero: thrall (even as a child i found him badass)

Other things i like to add? Hm… my dream would be to have more big tree units and Worgen (i like werewolves) oh and i REALLY love girls especially when they are elves :wink:
