There is no “best” because some armies counter others due to game mechanics. For example a pure Flying Machine army will stomp any flying comp but lose to common Night Elf archers.

For what 1:1 ffa 4v4? against what race? in general end game is about air in bigger game types 4v4 and ffa and typically you dont have the same time in 1v1 but if you can get there its triple hero + some mix of AA heavy air casters and anticasters. IE chimera + hippos with a bear for roar and a few yads maybe even a couple MGs. Frost+ garg + dest with or without banshee/necro support necrowagon etc. Mass HH caster + tauren with a few bats mas wyv + caster + bat. Gryphon + AA ie gyros/hawks/tanks + casters mix in a few mortars breakers or knights as needed.
To the point of the game u are talking heroes>>armies. A well placed tc stomp lvl3 may win the battle. Or blade storm. Or carrion lvl3 +nova. Blizzard+flame strike. And so on.
Orc or Elf since they have the strongest unit per supply invested.
Troll Berserkers from Orc have way too high stats. They are 2 supply cost units with 3 supply unit stats. And ontop you have the Berserk ability for faster attack speed with no penalty unless the unit is attacked.
Archers received another +15 flat HP for no reason at all and also +33% buff to Marksmanship damage upgrade. They don’t have as high stats as Troll Berserkers but high damage and longer range.
I think the damage taken penalty applies to all sources of damage and not just attack? If this is the case then the comp is vulnerable to splash damage, especially spells.
