SERIOUSLY!!! All I want is to play the friggin’ game. Now it’s telling me that it has trouble handling the request. Can we please get a stable update…PLEASE
Ugh. New update ->New Issue.
After this latest 7:50pm update, I am able to get into the game; however, I am now facing this new error. It says “There was an error in handling your request 6:9”.
Try logging out of the battle.net app then back in.
This is a common error, there are some other fixes in the tech support section
But aside from that, I think the game server is confused because they pushed a hotfix update. As I get an erropr telling me to update when i try to play any versus mode
In the update it tells us in the ‘bug fixes’ that they caught the Mac issue…

Same here, downloaded it, re-booted, nada.
Im a M3 Pro Mac User , Force quit Bnet then log back in, check for updates it should update. after words youll launch the game with no black screen issues, then youll prob get a request issue 6:9 or a variant close to it, if you wait long enough youll get a vpn error (if you have one or not) ((i dont and still got it)) itll prompt you to login via Bnet ingame and the 6:9 will continue. … Just putting it out there on other forums that theres light at the end and its starting to work more than before. — (CaptinJack helped with this)
Did you update before posting this? there was a hotfix posted just a short while ago.
I ask because you’re quoting the original patch notes.
From what i’ve seen Mac users are able run the game after the hotfix but some or all mac users are getting the error handling request message.

So you’re saying that there e=was the patch and then a hotfix?
I just started trying to fix it about an hour ago and honestly, it doesn’t seem that anything actually downloaded when it said it did. Although now my version states it’s 2.0.0
i have had all of the same error messages tonight along this journey. agree- at least its movement in the right direction.
Click the gear icon next to the play button and click check for updates.
If nothing happens, try doing a file check (“scan and repair”)
Most of the mac users I’ve talked to were able to at least launch the game after the hotfix, though there is a common “error handling request” issue being talked about afterward.
The “Game” does not launch, but the app does. You are then taken to a screen that references issue 6:9 and requests you log in. Logging in leads to a loop of this screen.
I have not seen a single instance yet of a mac user who has been able to play after today’s update. Neither the check for updates nor the scan repair function has worked.
This isn’t really a consolation. The end result is still the same. A different error message isn’t progress.
I’d say going from the game not existing to just not being able to log in is some progress.
If there are no mac users playing the game it’s not progress for mac users who paid for the game.
after 6 weeks and 2 updates?
well they hotfixed part of the problem the same day as the update. Let’s see if that good faith continues and we get another fix quickly.
As for the 6 weeks, it’s obvious they were working on 2.0.0 and didn’t want to spoil the surprise by saying “sorry this fix is held up becuase we’re working on a total game revamp.”
To be clear, you should still be making noise. But I sense good faith here and I sincerely hope it’s sorted very soon.
we couldnt launch the game - they had a big 2.0 update - so they couldnt really adress us or the cover would be blown of the surprise for us, now game laucnhes - yes theres still issues although we are having the same issues as window users - itll be slow - although its alot better than not being able to launch the game and be in the dark. cup half full. itll happen we almost have it.

All due respect, they don’t get the benefit of the doubt. 2.0 said the error was fixed, this update said the error was fixed. Guy in the presentation said when somethings broken we fix it.
I can’t assume good faith when I’ve been lied to three times over.
Honestly: I’ll put money on the “error handling request” being fixed tomorrow (or today depending on your time zone)
Well, for most of us not on a Mac, this update has been a godsend. A hotfix went out that fixed multiple key issues within the same day of the patch release. So I would at least wait one day to see if the login issue is fixed before raging. But maybe I"m just generous.
i just take issue with the phrasing. it is not in fact better. launching the game this afternoon with the error message “you need to download an update that doesnt exist” and then 12 hours later getting a different error message that says “you need takashi 6:9 vpn hax” is at best a lateral move.
the error fixed was wc3 not launching now it does lol now its in game errors.
