Now, many of you might not have noticed it yet, but Reforged didn’t just fail to deliver what was originally advertised - it also removed some stuff that was already in the original game.
One of those things are… CUSTOM CAMPAIGNS.
All I can say is - congratulations, Blizzard. Not only have you majorly screwed everyone who liked that kind of content, but you have also dealt a massive blow to your modding community that can no longer realistically work on creating custom campaigns as they are impossible to test in game.
I hope you’re happy. /s
Or no - I’m going to say more. I genuinely hope that custom campaigns return soon and they are still playable in offline single-player without installing any shady app or whatever.

I noticed this too… why would they remove this? There were some really amazing custom campaigns—I assume this is because they didn’t want to deal with backwards compatibility?

most custom campaings were total conversions so i guess they couldn’t be bothered to fix all the bugs they introduced with the constant new updates they pushed so they just removed the feature entirely, bravo blizzard, sure you can use an older version of the game to play said campaings but this removes developement of any future ones, what a shame

Honestly, this is a disaster and to me personally, it kills the game as I really loved custom campaigns and I was even making one myself.

And now that classic Wc3 uses the reforged menu, do we know if classic retains the ability to launch custom campaigns? My guess is no…

No - the only way you can access custom campaigns right now is by using a pre-Reforged version of the game.

You’re… kidding me, right? When I didn’t see “custom campaign” in the menu, I just figured it was moved to the “custom game” section. Are you saying that custom campaigns from classic are not playable in Reforged, at all?

Wow… I don’t even know what to say. Playing the single player campaign with my custom units was the most fun way to play the game for me… This isn’t easily doable with custom games since I’m not going to edit units for each and every single player map…
At least I ran into this post before buying Reforged. Without custom campaigns, I have no reason to buy this…
Thanks for the heads up.

Blizzard, what the hell? Did the little indie company lack the money or the brains to make ALL the gaming features of the old game available?
Since the editor’s release in beta test, I’ve been doing my campaign. Blindly, because testing is difficult. I was waiting for the release of the game to test and give friends a look. And here it is!

This is actually disastrous if this is intentional, because custom campaigns were a HUGE part of what’s been keeping my interest in this game alive. I can only pray that it’s simply well-hidden and people can’t find it, or at worst they plan to re-add support for it later or something?
Because as much as I love everything I’ve seen of Reforged so far, removing support for Custom Campaigns might actually ruin this for me.

WorldEditor has the custom campaigns editor, but we cant play them.
It’s a deal breaker to me.
Keep this thread alive so we get their attention and (hopefully) convince Blizz to re-add them or at least give us some kind of news on where they went.
Another thing to add to the list of disappointments.

This is the biggest disapointment so far. I mostly play Warcraft III for making cutom campaigns and play the official one. I am a hardcore Warcraft III fan but this makes even me doubt if i still want to play it

This is what makes this issue especially egregious.
- We have the tools to create Custom Campaigns, bundled with Reforged.
- Reforged itself has no ability to access or launch custom campaigns.
One of these is an error, Blizzard. They cannot both be intentional, and if they are, your company has vastly larger problems than the state of your games, and you need to get your shit together.
So which is the error, Blizzard? That we are unable to play custom campaigns, or that you forgot to take away our ability to make them?

The thing is - not being able to play cripples the creation process of custom campaigns so much that it’s pretty much as if we didn’t have an option to create them. That’s just sad.
And stupid. This game needs all the help from the modding community that it can get and meanwhile Blizzard removes one of the most beloved features of Warcraft 3 modding. I can’t even begin to comprehend the reasoning behind that. I hope they just didn’t make the deadline and that they will correct this obvious mistake within a few weeks.

I really need custom campaigns! What’s more, where’s the single-player game with the ability to save?
Yeah this is a huge letdown. Custom campaigns were one of the coolest part of modding this game, and I was looking forward to playing some. During the beta I had even started making one of my own, expecting that I’d be able to continue working on it after the game released, using the higher res assets. I desperately hope this is just something that they didn’t have time to release, and aren’t removing it outright. Blizzard needs to tell us that it’s coming in a future update.

Yeah some kind of word from Blizzard would make a lot of people feel somewhat better but we shall see.
Nice they screw up every announced parts about campaign, so we had to enjoy the same copy paste old campaign which was good enought without this 30E skin pack on it. Now as the final blow from Blizzard, we can’t have the pleasure to enjoy some epic custom campaigns.
There are people that are complaining about the graphics (I actually like the graphics), lack of new content, and lack of significant UI changes … I am not one of those.
But I am furious over taking content and features away! Worse yet we can’t even go back to the last TFT version and play the custom campaigns on there.
Either add custom campaign to reforged or at least make 1.31 TFT available for offline play!
