Key Concerns
After removing Lyn (a historically top Orc but now largely inactive), Orcs are arguably the worst-represented race at the top level: there are almost no new strong Orc players, and the highest tiers remain dominated by Undead (UD), Night Elf (NE), and Human (HU).
The current meta and balance present too many difficult match-ups for Orcs. At 2200+ MMR, statistics suggest that Orc players must perform near-perfectly, while their opponents (UD/NE/HU) can afford more mistakes. Top-tier units from these races often dominate engagements, forcing Orcs to punish every weakness.
From a regional perspective, European players of other races (e.g., StarBuck, Blade, DeathNote, Hawk for Humans; Dise, Sonik, Neytpoh for Night Elves; Sheik, Edo, Krav for Undead) consistently compete on equal footing with, and often beat, elite Asian players – including Asian Orcs like IceOrc, Soin, and Fast. However, European Orc representation is almost non-existent, with only Cash actively competing, and struggling to make deep runs in intercontinental tournaments.
In essence, the problem is not a lack of skill or motivation among Orc players. Rather, it appears to be a structural imbalance that limits Orc viability in high-level and international play.
