Why are there so many cry babies complaining about change? I feel like I see great ideas in here and it immediately gets shot down because of all the small minded people stuck in 2002 that don’t want anything to be improved. We all want more, in fact the game is going to need more than just the basics for it to be popular again. For instance another race, or more than one, I’m not saying add a bunch of races without testing it all out first. The dev even said they would have a mode where they test things out and once balanced they could add “changes” to the game depending on feedback. I just hope blizzard doesn’t listen to the people that are screaming “keep the graphics the same, don’t add this/that, don’t change anything” because they’re going to kill this game before it even has a chance.
A new race isn’t really needed, but a hero skill pass is. You have useless never picked skills (far sight), unfun skills (mana burn/wind walk) and a LOT of broken stuff. Thats the main reason i quit WC3 in 2004 with the release of the first dawn of war to just come back now with reforged announcement.
Look at human heros, Blizzard tried a LOT to just balance things and do other heroes viable beyond the Archmage and eventual Mountain King. i WANT to play with paladin first and have a possibility of actually winning, and imo paladin skills need a complete redesign, just a balance pass will not work. For instance, change paladin skill for those of DOTA omniknight and sudenly he becomes viable.
I mean I want them to start testing a bunch of different things, and I want all heroes to be viable as well, I just hope blizzard starts putting out more patches, I want everything to be possible, I’m just scared they’re going to listen to the ancient gamers that don’t want anything new, just the same.
Those “ancient gamers” are the reason this remaster is even happening, FYI. Blizz is capitalizing off their nostalgia, and it’s their buying-power that matters.
There’s nothing wrong with “new things”, but this is a HD remaster. What’s expected is the same game with better graphics. Those sell, and it’s what people want.
No, I’ve been playing the game since release as well, and I’m sick of the same old crap, there are many things they can improve but people like you are c0ck blocking them into a dead game.
What it sounds like to me is that you don’t want to play WC3.
