Hello,

I’m experiencing very often a kick out after a freeze in warcrat 3 reforged.

I found another thread where you asked a report with WinMTR, here is mine :

There are signs of some unreliability. Not sure if this would be a cause but might contribute.

Not all packets sent were received back, especially given that this happened within your local network this is an indicator that there may be a problem. Are you using WiFi? If so then try playing with an Ethernet or other fixed connection as wireless can have reliability problems.

For the best experience playing lockstep synchronised games like Warcraft III you ideally want as good as no packet loss and very little latency variance, especially no bursts.

Thank you for your reply, I’m not using wifi, I’m using ethernet already, with fibre optic…

Well I wish I could improve the stability of my connection but I don’t know how.

By the way, I noticed when I play with some players, I have some high ping, the second they leave my ping is back to 40 ms. But this is another problem… What I want is only not being kicked out of my games… 20 years ago , there was a count down … it was actually a lot better.

The legacy system had a grace period, the countdown you refer to. For reasons unknown (but probably sheer incompetence) this grace period was not transferred to Reforged. Most game nowadays also have a reconnect option; also not something reforged has.

Basically a package loss means you will get booted from the game. Not much one can do: it is simply how the game is designed. Yes it sucks, but that is why this game has been rated the worst game in recorded history.

Volatile ping may be the result of the EU server. They decreased the amount of servers from 4 to 3 in the transfer from legacy to reforged. The EU server however is bugged (since release) and was never fixed. This may cause erratic ping. Again: this can also not be helped unless blizzard fixes it. Again: we don’t know why but we assume once again sheer incompetence.

Since the dev team was disbanded so Bobby could up his salary with the free space created it is safe to assume this will not be fixed in the next 4 - 5 years.
