once the game has been open for awhile its over 12gb and i lag Spike ingame

Can you report what you were doing with Warcraft III during that “awhile” it was open?
Does this happen with the x86 build? Or does it quickly crash with an out of memory error?
It is possible the x86-64 build has memory leaks as well as other well known errors in it. It was only added in 1.31 and it was likely hell to make given that Warcraft III was not designed or written with x86-64 in mind and possibly used a lot of hacky performance optimizations so it could run well back in early 2000s.
You should clarify a few things:
- How long did this take to occur?
- What were you doing at that particular point in time?
- What kind of game was it? Custom game? Ladder? Single player?
- What race were you playing and what was your general strategy?

Warcraft III does not work on Windows XP or Windows Vista. The oldest supported OS is Windows 7. It is recommended to run it on 64bit Windows 10.
