Wc3 Champions is bugged

Hello Wc3 Champions team, and all players!

I’ve divided my time between Wc3Champions and bnet lately and realize that:

  • Bnet ping is better if in EU, with a ping usually around 30, wc3 champions rarely below 50. True ping also feels much worse on Wc3Champions than the number reads.
  • Mouse cursor in Wc3Ch. is severly bugged, it jumps slightly over targets and your exact target spot on pointer is not by the edge, but on the finger of the hand. This is similar to the hitboxes problem early in Reforged, but that are way better on bnet atm. I know Hitman complains about this often, and maybe he is right. Perhaps he doesn’t compare it to bnet?
  • Certain actions are dismissed on Wc3champions. I don’t know why, but certain mouse actions aren’t executed. On bnet I never have this problem anymore.
  • Join bug on Wc3ch. is also prevalent, fortunately, there is a re-search function so mostly takes care of itself with no wins or losses. Minor annoyance.

I really like what the Wc3 Champions team has done for the game and the community! sadly I find my games being of worse quality than on bnet, while I always thought it would be the opposite.

I’m writing this hoping that it can be identified and fixed, so I can enjoy the games on wc3champions ladder more.

Best regards

But this is the wrong forum

Well, I post on both forums, since it’s valuable to hear what other bnet players experience.

Lately the average ping on Battlenet on EU servers is 200.
You should also consider how the ping is calculated on wc3champions. Like if it is halved or not.

Original WC3 had a limit of 4 actions per second. Host bots could change it, so probably something got messed up…

Join bug on Battlenet, autorehost bug on Battlenet (have to restart game), drop at start bug on Battlenet at every update. Major annoyance.

Be glad you have wc3champions^^

adverticing emulation servers goes against the rules.

Emulation servers is what saved this game before and it is the only chance that it will be played again…
Blizzard (the true old one) already acknowledged the importance of hosting bots once, but I guess this time you are sadly right…

hosting bots is one thing, emulation servers is a different thing. both have been outlawed by the way. i never used either of them. i had the skills to port forward after all. i therefore hosted without host bots. the new server structure however removed the need for port forwarding, which made my hosting easier. i have not hosted for a while however, because i am still working on stuff that is not yet ready for testing.

you just needed to write 2 numbers on your router html form…
anyway hosting bots are not an alternative to simple host. They are a whole gaming infrastructure. They full support a server-client network for the whole game features. You just need battlenet to advertise games.

So Blizzard traded 2 numbers on a form for:
200 average ping
continuous disconnections
several bugs

…and still no reconnection button^^

i did but, my problem was that my pc`s ip adress kept changing, forcing me to alter the settings from time to time just to be able to host. the disconnect issues was not caused by the removal of host bots. that was cause by the upgrade from the frozen throne to reforged. then they migrated the game to new servers. guess the new servers could be too far away from certain players.

they are probably hosted on the moon^^
