I keep getting this error, and restarting the client doesn’t fix it.
Why do I need internet connection for a single player game???

Are you launching from the shortcut, or the launcher?

from the launcher. i’ve opened it this way for the last few days and haven’t had this problem until today
edit: also worth noting that i see this error in WC2:R as well. WC3 seems fine, and WoW Classic works fine
There’s been quite a few reports of that since release.
You can drop a note in that forum for Bliz to see.
