Boy that was a long winded post to say literally nothing at all, Blizzard.
All you typed was “We’re sorry you didn’t like it lmao”

They are under no obligation to do anything, so we have to vote with our wallets:
4+ hours of reforged cutscenes you promised. What you showed us with The Culling ensured I instantly pre-ordered the game. The cinematic camera work, the detailed animations as the characters gesticulated and used facial expressions, getting rid of the distracting auras – That’s what I wanted to see. I was fairly neutral towards lore revamps, I just wanted to see the story brought to life as it was in my imagination. But that was all lies and false advertisement.
I got my refund the other day. I bought the spoils of war edition too. I believed in you guys that much and was crushed to have this be the end result. If you want my money back you need to put all the features you promised into the game. I don’t blame the development team, I’m sure you guys did the best you could with the budget and manpower allotted to you. But your company is a disappointing shadow of what it once was.
That’s an understatement.
It’s worse than that, they just basically blamed all of us for not liking it.
You had a year to get this right.
scam.
need to write 10 letters.
The door is wide open. You can walk away now.
OK so you won’t retell the story fine but why are the cutscenes in a W3 style when you showed us a WoW style cutscene of the Culling of Stratholme what happened to those are they in a recycle bin so where if they are restore them, put them in the game and give us what you promised please. If not enjoy your 0.5 metacritic review due to your decision.
Don’t let the door hit you on your way out.
Sorry but this does not address the major issues, this game requiers another 2+ year work to get it right, you have tons of issues that needs to be resolved, take a good look at your core values and take a good look at the video which is advertised on the main wc3 reforged site. The UI is still being advertised, still the cutscenes instead of keeping the original scene you should have kept it on a seperate client, the way you talked about those kind of things at blizzcon was promising but seeing the current state which you tried to be silent about is just terrible, just terrible beyond imagine. Time will now tell where it will go but you have offically butchered wc3 reforged and the strategy genre is pretty much dead for wc3 now.
More than a year. Hopefully this debacle (I call it that because the other term I want to use would get this post flagged) will force them to make money honestly with investment in the game and devs instead of shady, unethical practices. They need to start treating Blizzard like the unique company it’s supposed to be and hire more devs, QA, etc. while listening to the devs and players instead of detached bean counters who can’t comprehend why the stock is currently tanking.
That’s exactly what I’m going to do. Until they fix this mess, they’ve lost me as a customer. I’m done with Activision nonsense.
P.S. If anyone wants a refund - USE THE LINK. I’ve played through the Prologue, all RoC campaigns and half of TFT Night Elf campaign and the automated system still worked for me. It’s worth a try!
That sounds reasonable.
Sorry guys, but until you either a) finish the game or b) slash the price in half, you won’t be getting my money. It just comes across as very much half-baked from what I’ve seen. If I wanted to experience the original game, I would have played the original game, which I already own. I wanted a quality remake, and unfortunately as released, this game does not live up to the expectations that you yourselves set with the initial reveal. It definitely doesn’t appear to be worth the price of admission.
BLizzard’s response: Why not Bethesda did it?
Let me quote StokeYdral from r/Warcraft3:
Kaivax, you said…
Related to that, as we talked about last year at BlizzCon, we did not want the in-game cutscenes to steer too far from the original game. We went a little deeper into the thought process behind that at the show, but the main takeaway is that the campaigns tell one of the classic stories in Warcraft history, and we want to preserve the true spirit of Warcraft III and allow players to relive these unforgettable moments as they were (albeit rebuilt with new animations and the higher fidelity art).
His comment, which is ABSOLUTELY ON POINT:
So the reworked cutscenes are too far removed from the original game to include, but aren’t too far away to use for advertising? Even as of this post?
It’s good you guys are at least adressing some of the probles. However I am afraid that if you dont do something drastic like, for example, change the EULA for the custom maps (although I know thats not entirely on you) or maybe change some of the cinematics, people might not bother coming back either of fear of not getting dissapointed again or just anger. This isn’t a hate comment, just being honest, I personally hope you keep patching the game and make it better and who knows maybe people will come back and the game will gain a better reputation.
Hello, almost all have been said about this disaster, but 2 things. I am almost certain they have 2 plans in their heads :
1st : purge the old fanbase (more older, more demanding, aware of the old features…) for a new one ( younger and used to microtransactions cashgrabs)
2nd : they wants us to finish their game for free ! They already said that about RoC rulesets ! “It’s not there, you want it ? So do it yourself… But don’t forget it will ever be our property”
Disgusting…
Please add the offline gameplay again without opening online a customgame just to play against bots even AoE2:DE has it. Why not this game.
