Warcraft 3 reforged black screen with sound

I cannot play warcraft. The game loads up a black screen with sound. I have the lastest drivers installed. please help

With the game closed,

In the Warcraft III folder in your Documents folder, find War3Preferences.txt (way at the bottom). Find “windowmode” and set it =1. Save the file and try running launching the game again.

Thanks. I did this but now it doesnt load, i just get error message. What doesn’t make sense is starcraft loads up.

im so sick of everyone telling people to set to window mode or cinematic=1 IT DOESNT FN FIX THE GAME THE GAME IS LITERALLY BROKEN AND BLIZZARD WILL NOT REFUND YOU

Just because it didn’t work for you doesn’t mean it won’t work for some people. There are multiple reasons/causes for this problem. It’s literally not the game being broken and Blizzard will refund you if you are within the refund period. I highly doubt that if it’s your first time playing and you encountered this that you would be outside the refund period.

And if it’s not the first time playing, then obviously, something changed about your system, Windows, or something else that caused it to happen. the game doesn’t just magically break itself because it doesn’t like you or something like that.
