WarCraft 3 Offline Stutter

Hey,

Ever since the updates made to the WC3 launcher+game, the classic WC3 has become unplayable. The game stutters/lags even offline.
The old versions used to work on my laptop, but no longer…

It’s obviously something changed with the game/graphics engine, please fix!

Put -d3d or -opengl after a space in your shortcut path to warcraft 3 executable. There’s a lot of posts here that solved this problem. Do a search.

Please state what game mode you are using.

Due to bugs in AI it is known that melee currently stutters when against or with AI opponents.

Turn off Vsync. Also if you are on a laptop especially. Make sure the game is using your gaming graphics card instead of Intel.

Edit: Sorry man the command isn’t -d3d or -opengl, it’s -graphicsapi Direct3D9 or -graphicsapi OpenGL. Try it. Turn off Vsync.

Example in shortcut path:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Warcraft III\x86_64\Warcraft III.exe" -graphicsapi Direct3D9
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Warcraft III\x86_64\Warcraft III.exe" -graphicsapi OpenGL

Yeah game barely works on Single Player, both custom or campaign.

I don’t want to try online if it doesn’t work… I’ll try offline without VSync.

Edit: I used “-graphicsapi Direct3D9”
It helped a lot! Thanks!
