I found my old disks and downloaded the games but severs are no longer online? it doesnt allow me to connect to bnet?
Servers for the original client were shut down when Reforged was released. If you want to play Warcraft 3 online in an official capacity, you will need to play on the Reforged client.
If you have your old Reign of Chaos key, you can redeem a copy of Reforged (sans the Reforged graphics) by installing the game in Battle.net offline mode. It will work if your Reign of Chaos key is registered on your Battle.net account on the website.

To clarify the above, if you play using an existing RoC key, you will only have access to Classic Mode, you won’t be able to use the Reforged or Classic HD graphics*, or the hero skins and a handful of other things.
*except in the map editor
