I have been playing WC3 off an on since I got it around 2004. The discs themselves came in a dual CD jewel case (RoC and TFT). I play mostly custom maps and stuff. I believe after an update about a year ago, I had to connect the WC3 to my Battlenet account, which I believed I did, since I was able to play. Also whenever I would boot up WC3 via the shortcut, it would go through the Battlenet launcher type thing.
Anyways today I wanted to play a round of something on WC3, and I double clicked on the shortcut as I always did, now it was asking me to update. So I did, and it proceeded to ask for my CD Keys. I had to dig around a bit to find them since my computer doesn’t even have a CD-drive, so I exited the screen and now my WC3 shortcut doesn’t work anymore, and the game deleted itself???
I have the CD Keys, but when I go to enter them on the site it says they have already been claimed, but it doesn’t show up in my account???
What’s going on?
Update: my game didn’t get uninstalled it looks like, but my shortcut doesn’t know where WC3 is located anymore. So going into the game folder, and opening ‘Warcraft III Launcher.exe’, a popup asked me for my CD Keys to play. So I entered my Keys and it launched the game, and I was able to connect now to Battlenet.
But I still don’t see WC3 in my account on the Battlenet site, and when I try to enter the keys it says they’ve already been claimed…
