You’re a complete noob for defending these balance changes and you know you are. Anyone with a brain can see how game breaking every change they implementing are. It’s going to be a brand new game that no one wants to play. Garbage
That’s why this is a ptr, we need more real games on it. First ptr patch wasn’t so interesting but this one is.

Please nerf immolation and DH. It is overly strong at this moment. A DPS of 1 like it was in 1.30 is a sweet spot.
The new hunter is a joke. It is a t1 unit and it would be as strong and faster as a knight. To make the change work, make hunters a t2 unit and make the upgrade t3.
We should not buff wisp lumping. It is going to break the match up vs orc.
Also, what’s the benefit to get rid of pally rifle from the table? Players like Lemes spent 5 years practicing it and are you asking them to quit the game? We have already fewer players in the community and having a variety of strategies is fun!
TLDR: The wisp change at a minimum makes the standard NE build order with 10wisp tech t2 40~ seconds earlier than they could before. Which was around 2:45~
^ - Mind you that isn’t a “fast tech” build order, that’s normal and very standard. 2 minutes will be the new normal tech t2 time which is INSANE. 2 minutes is an important timing already as this is when Heroes usually come out.
So, I think the most concerning thing regarding the Wisp gathering speed from 8 to 7 is shown when you start looking at their build orders. Which I assume must have been done prior otherwise I have no faith this is balanced. Like, it’s so clearly too much on paper that they must have tested it and it’s fine.
I am a nelf player.
Current meta you tech t2 around 2:45~ or as soon as you have enough wood too after making10 lumber wisps. Your first wood wisp is made around 1 min in. That first wood wisp does 13 cycles in that time or gathers 65 wood, wood that’s needed. Now you’re telling me it will only take me 91 seconds instead of 104??
So, if I wanted to have the same amount of wood around the same time I don’t even need to make 2-3 of these wisps then. Wait, so that saves me 28-30 seconds of time spent training wisps I can skip and go straight to t2.
But usually you have around jsut enough gold then anyways so more wood earlier doesn’t help, EXCEPT now I have an extra 120-180g in the bank not having to buy wisp. That’s an entire moonwell I can now buy - WHICH BTW I NOW CAN ALSO DELAY MY SECOND MOONWELL. An extra 180gold and 40 wood PLUS the extra wood I now get with the wisp on a tree rather than building a moonwell.
So this “small” change makes Nelf look like they can tech t2 40~ seconds earlier than they could before. Which was around 2:45~

Similar to many comments, I feel confused by many of the changes. So strongly recommending that the dev jots down the thought process as a quick comment to each change, as you guys used to have.
I’d really not recommend too big swings from side to side in between PTR patches. We all would like to see a cohesive vision for this game from you guys while adding the new stuffs, together with some very surgical key balance issue fixes.
Probably now it is better to expo on t1 as humba instead of tech
Why don’t you check the status of infi or sok? No NE player is currently in the same tie as fortitude or happy. They make countless mistakes in games and they lost hero’s when creeping despite they still won games against much stronger please (e.g. Sini won fortitude today).
Remember that wisps are ez to harass still. So if you make less wisps opponent just can kill all of them by commiting to it. You just cannot make full walloff at this moment
Again - skill issue. If one player can do it then others can as well if will play better. So just check top players always.
Mixed thoughts overall. Huntress heavy armor type on t2? That’s just way too early and strong. I liked the suggestion to make Glaive Throwers have no dead zone, maybe with Vorpal. And I dislike the Orb of Fure replacement because healing reduction is a cool new mechanic that had never even existed before the change
Maybe buff Flamestrike cast time by shaving off 0.1 sec? And make Dreadlord heal himself when casting Carrion Swarm? And my favourite idea, make Unholy Frenzy deal more damage to non-undead units (with no attack speed buff), making it double in utility as a DoT spell.
Also I liked the idea of tying the Tauren Resistant skin to Spirit Link! Would be conditional, with counterplay and flavour.
Garg movespeed nerf is a nerf to solo Dreadlord, which is sad.
Other than that, I do prefer cautious approach coupled with creativity to heavy-handed buffs/nerfs.
Okay, a mess of balance changes, but it doesn’t matter. As long as you can be sure to bring FPS stability and excellent performance back to the official version and keep it from being destroyed in subsequent hotfixes, it will already make players very happy. Who cares how you make math games with the parameters of the four races ![]()
I didn’t played new huntresses in 1v1 yet but I’m sure that this is a variety and not buff at all. If you do huntresses you delay your bears or talons up to 2-3 min because you don’t have enough gold. Orc can do expo in this timing LUL
So look at this like this isn’t buff it all, just the fact that NE has some variety now and you will face more strategies outside of talons and bears
If this will be too strong that huntresses itself should get nerfed but not the fact of their place on NE T2 army
Dark Ranger’s Drain Life can kill herself when low and healing a friendly unit
Could she only drain herself to 1 hp instead?
Please still up Spiked Carapace values just not as much as initial PTR

Devs please consider adding more information to the replays!!! We could build the community tools and grow this game to the size it deserves!
Add metadata to the replay files and add passive game events in the command blocks that give us information about what items dropped! it would be enough!!!

But why would you undo the Spiked Carapace change?
It is without a doubt the worst passive in the game.
Even Grubby said so.
Spiked Carapace and Vampiric Aura are so bad that its better to pick the other two skills even if you never have enough mana to use them both.
Probably because 75% melee reflect is absolutely brutal. You can’t balance a game around that.
Carapace already provides 4 armor per level on top of 15% reflect per level, so it is not weak by any measure.
ne is absolutly dominate all top ladders, hope happy or fortitiude just switch to ne and this crazy overbuffs will finally end
