Unit frames?

Heya’ll. So like, I’m currently playing through the campaign and overall I’m loving it. The updated maps of Stratholme and Quel’Thalas were especially fun to play (Just got to Dalaran so haven’t played yet but looks cool). I’m sad not all maps are updated like this.

Now I’ve usually played WC3 for the campaigns, so overall I like the new graphics (except the sky in cinematics look like soffy paper). My biggest gripe is the lack of custom campaigns, but that’s not what this thread is about…

What is wrong with the unit frames? I noticed it especially in the prologue campaign, but is it just me or do the characters feel like soulless puppets when they speak in the cinematics? Like as if there’s this voice that expresses emotion, but the facial features just don’t feel like they fit, almost emotionless. Does anyone else feel this too or is it just me?

Tl;dr:
The unit frames lack any facial expression to show emotion.

That was more or less the case with the original release as well; however, the updated graphics make it that much more apparent due to the realistic look as opposed to the more cartoony one. I think it is the plastic-like sheen and the eyes.
