It would be nice to have full control over customization of bottom bar:
- Hide basic command cards: Attack, Move…
- Show Upkeep, Resources at desired position e.g. next to Minimap instead of statically placed at the top right corner
- Display buildings menu as Pop-up instead of statically reserved place in bottom UI.

In the interview between Pete Stilwell and Remo from Back2Warcraft, Pete said the UI had been decoupled, meaning you can move the various elements around the map separately (Pete specifically gave an example with moving the Minimap! :D). From what we’ve seen of Reforged so far, the game actually renders below the UI space now so we will probably gain the ability to hide it completely or have an extremely minimalist UI if we so desire. (We see fullscreen screenshots without the UI in some of the released media images)
What I would like to know is where we can expand upon certain elements, like make the command card 3 × 5 like in Starcraft 2 or even have 2 separate command cards (again, like in Sc2) for global powers, for example. We know icons can be resized in the command card, but in the Reforged demo the command card is still 12-icons large. More info on that would be welcome.
Could we maybe gain the ability to modify Hero inventory sizes? How about unseen inventories? I know coders have created inventory system, but it would be really good if you could have +6 items on a unit that function natively.
UI pop-up via triggers would also be really nice to have. We’ve seen that it changes depending on whether the unit selected is a Hero or a building (the command card icon spaces resizes). There are so many thing one can do with UI customisation, I do hope it’s not just limited to decoupling.
For those interested, here’s the interview:
