I sure have to check lot of these once Reforged is launch, there are many that I definitely have not played as I was most active with the customs only between 2002-2004 when I think many of these customs mentioned didnt even exist yet
Anyhow I didnt want to create new topic for this, but it would be cool if Blizzard would also give option to create playlists of our favorite custom games, so if you have good group together who would like to play longer sessions together on variety of different maps and custom games, you could just select all those you like on your playlist and wouldnt have to create each custom game match separately after each game.

Well i realized it just now. With warcraft 3 remaster and some new options in world editor we will get dota 2 which we always wanted, not what it become now under Valve guidance. Take dota 6.7 or 6.59, and we reciewe new graphics, and if it possible somebody can implement featchures from dota 2 like shopping system. Damn even just without map modification, just with new remaster graphic and engine. Old good dota without talents, with old map, old good warcraft 3 lore, not that erzats fraud and models without Copyright issues. Of cource if remaster will support old maps.

Oh my gosh, I had totally forgotten about Island Troll Tribes, that was just a blast
Also played a lot of Gem TD. My favorites were various tug of wars and TDs/mazes. Also, what was that one where one player was randomly chosen as the evil spirit or something and then the rest were just a peasant and you had to build your farm and well and “train” wives and children and you could turn them into footmen and archers? Evil and deeds and something was the name…
Island Defense!!!
Tree Tag
Custom Castle Defense
I mean any custom game is amazing tbh
There are a few, but most I have played too much. Looking for new ideas TBH.
Probably a variation of DOTA, maybe even DOTA 2…

It was Evil Deeds by Weevilman or some crap. You had several monsters that the evil could become (for some reason crappy WW was always hosted and not this, maybe because WW gave jobs and focused less on building??) such as the Grim Reaper, Witch Doctor, Pitlord (could never go back to Human Form), Werewolf, Vampire… there may be one or two I’m not remembering. The evil could convert humans on kill who would usually rise the next day (new players would rage quit and not see they could keep playing).
Usually for the vampire and ww you would try and kill them during the day when they were weak and hope they didn’t build an army while killing you at night so it would be easier form your own. The map was pretty small though.
Eventually the humans could survive long enough to get their own heroes and stronger units to combat whatever the evil was.
This and Metastasis (before people who played it 24/7 and killed everyone on sight besides their friends) were my favorite games. I also enjoyed DBZ Tribute until the meta became rush the story bosses and everyone just straight up dies to the increasing in power npcs or bosses who randomly ran/teleported(Janemba) around the map.
Yes, thank you! That was it. I remember playing that one a lot
And look at that, I even remembered the name
If there’s more teams and more chaos yes? Were the map size limits increased as well? I feel like 24 people on that map might be too many.
yes, blizz already raised player limit to 24, and doubled maximum map size (horizontally and vertically, so we have 4 time the play area. Tree tag is gonna be insane
).
We also get more slots in tilesets, so we can use more textures in a single map. That’s neat too.
what we really need is a system that makes making custom maps easier. it can take months or years to learn how to create custom maps.
Well, that’s not really true, at least in my opinion. I used to make maps when I was just a kid 16 years ago. It’s really super easy to get into and start learning by yourself. Just compare to SC2’s Galaxy Editor: that’s hard to learn. WC3 editor is a piece of cake after that. Though, I agree, some tutorials never hurt nobody.
