Tip: How to block people you don't like

I’ve noticed a lot of people shaming other user(s) and telling other people they are bad and shouldn’t listen to them / make noise / etc.

So for those of you who would like to do something about it instead of breaking the forum rules by attacking or defaming others, here is how you add someone to your “ignore list” so you don’t have to read their posts. It’s very useful and reduces clutter in a thread and makes the forum more pleasant not just for you, but for everyone.

  1. Find post from the user you wish to hide the posts of.
  2. Click their user name and click the big blue button “View Activity.”

  3. On the next page, click the button far to the right of the user name as shown here:

  4. Click “Ignored” with the icon with the slashed-through eye.
  5. Choose how long you’d like to ignore the user from the menu as shown here, from 1 day up to a maximum of 999 years:

Congratulations, you no longer have to read the posts from people you don’t like, while everyone else can decide for themselves what they’d like to do. As a reminder, witch hunting, personal attacks, and defaming are against the forum Code of Conduct.
