Hey guys, now that we know there are not human moderators on this forum and it’s all just wild west free to post whatever you wanted, I wanted to call out the user @CaptainJack to ask them about their backstory and how they decided to champion the Captain Jack Sparrow character as their namesake. I have seen several posts by the user Captain Jack Sparrow on this thread, and back before Reforged released I remember watching on loop the clip where Captain Jack Sparrow kills Barbossa. And I was imagining that I was the epic guy beating Reforged with that one gunshot right at the moment when Captain Jack shoots Barbossa. I think I watched that on loop ten or twenty times.

So today while I was raiding my parents fridge and eating their stuff while they go on a vacation because I don’t have a job and I live in their basement, I was thinking how it would be really cool to know the backstory of how a user on this forum got named Captain Jack.

So, @CaptainJack please reply with your backstory and give this forum a better reason to exist than for the next guy this coming week to post a question asking about how he can get ladder play for free off of his CD (or whatever nonsense people think they want to use this forum for that we’ve all heard umpteen times already).

There’s no story. really. After experiencing harassment and gameplay sabotage from one specific user in Overwatch over a long period of time, I changed my battletag to see if that would put a stop to it, which it did.

But obviously yes, I’m a fan of the films and I do some pirate LARPing, though as my own persona, not as Sparrow.

And I’m very much in the United States, tyvm. And my opinions are truthfully my own. Sorry if you don’t agree with them, but I"m not here for attention.

Also: I got a 24 hour suspension a few weeks ago for allegedly circumventing the curse filter, so there most certainly is still forum moderation. I’d watch your backs if I were you folks.

As long as you don’t type a series of dots (that will sparkle the nastiest moderator’s imaginations) or tell that people can still play this game on W3Champions ^^

I’ve made many mentions of W3C, none of it got deleted.

One of mine got deleted because it seems it is “advertising for other products”…
I wonder how many people would still play this game without W3C…

That implies that W3C is sold for money, which it’s not. It’s just a mod. If anything it helps sales.

I’ll be frank and a thread directly and specifically calling me out to troll obviously didn’t sit well with me, but aside from that, it ended up being more civilized than I could have expected.
