My friend was banned from the forums for posting in the “report bug” section of the forum. All he did was report a bug that ladder, player profiles and clans are still missing after a year. I don’t know what is more funny. The fact that all of these features are indeed still missing after a year, or that he was banned for pointing this out. We figured the game was abandoned because clearly no one is still working on this sad mess of a project. But clearly someone is still reading this if they went out of their way to ban him. I feel like their time could be better spent finally putting out a ladder? Or profiles? Or clans? Or ANYTHING? lol… You guys ruined the best game of all time

I was muted for “2 days” that lasted for two months too. I guess after the initial message that got me muted, they’ve seen all the critical stuff I’ve been posting…

Blizzard isn’t reading this, it’s just “informants” reporting posts and then moderators acting on the reports.
However, if you have passion for the game, get w3champions. They released custom servers on their PTR today, shaves off up to 50% of ping depending on where you live. Of course they have ladder, profiles and everything for months already too.
I can guarantee no one is actioned for simply posting in the wrong forum unless there is something that violates the forum code of conduct within it. Either your friend doesn’t think they violated anything, or they are not telling you the whole story.

What even is this forum? Why care? Accounts are free? I think I got banned off of this forum a lot on all my other accounts. I remember one account got banned just because I gave a legitimate heartfelt description of my respect for the people developing this game, and a number of people reported it for trolling because in the age of the internet we do not know the difference.
I think I had another account get banned for writing something awful about how the devs of this game should just quit, maybe commit neck rope, I forget. It’s like they say. “We are all one, we are all Retera.”

they do read the forums but, they do not always check if people break the rules. if multiple users reports them however, then they will take action. if you get your account held however(forum slang for silenced), you can appeal it on the support ticket system. you should not however post information on emulation servers(w3champions), as they might ban you for it.
Does this include custom maps or is it for Melee games only?
Melee games only, the old bots for custom maps don’t work with the new battlenet and as far as I know there is no one updating the Ghost for this version…

Its cuz what he reported is a missing feature not a bug. a bug has to be some sort of function that exists in the game but is not working as intended.
Freaking 75% of Warcraft 3 was stripped down ENTIRELY after Reforged.
So yes, incase you were wondering this is how Blizzard thinks.
Blizzard: Players can’t technically report on any bugs if entire sections and features and functionalities of the game is MISSING.
